The Janissari chiefs stood in perfect rows, in the biggest courtyard of the palace. Then came all the Pashas, including Vazir-E-Azam Ibrahim Pasha. Sultan's throne was set up in front of the Janissaries and the Pashas stood on it's either sides

On side of this courtyard, stood a not so very tall tower, 'Minar-E-Sultana' . The tower was connected to one of the corridors of the palace such that the corridor leads you to the only room on the top of the tower.
The room had a big window which had a patterned wooden structure covering it, so that no one from outside, can see the faces of the royal women inside.
'DESTUR!! VALIDE KOSEM SULTAN.......HASEKI MEHRIMAH SULTAN.......VE ŞEHZADI NAAZLI SULTAN HAZRATLERI!!!' a guard announced in the courtyard. All the Janissari chiefs and Pasha's turned to face the tower and bowed as the three royal women came upon the window. They then faced back to the throne and waited for Sultan.
Two soldiers came out from the door behind the throne with a mace. It's heavy weight could be guessed through the fact that two soldiers were bringing it and that too very difficultly.
