Maltjo let the bright light float around. It floated around some time and disappeared later.
It confused her a little. She asked him whether this was a part of the training.
He said no. "Wear this, let's start the practice."
She did as he said.
Then she took the sword he brought for practice. She was instructed to slash down a dead rat placed in front of her, she did that better than the previous practice last week.
He marked a cross on a dead bull then, she swept at the cross accurately.
She was in wonder.
She shed happy tears. She had never cut like that. The best slash of all her life. She could never be this happy again.
He looked at the necklace and gestured that the necklace was the reason for her new strength.
He also said that he learned to do this magic from her father Gefroi.
She was completely in shock.
"Really?"
"Yes, I used to come here and play with your older brother. Your father taught your older brother Kluyot this. I perfected this. Your father appreciated me a lot for not being in a magical family and still managed to learn this."
"Kluyot?"
Maltjo realized he babbled a deep secret out. He was never this careless.
"We hid the truth from you Kleeia."
"What?"
"Yes, you had an older brother named Kluyot, the very first child of the mighty king Gefroi."
Kleeia was shocked
Maltjo couldn't look into her eyes, he was guilty of hiding the truth. But he continued because he ought to.
"He's dead. And I killed him, your mother doesn't know but your father does."
"You killed him?"
"Yes."
"But why? I don't understand anything. I'm frozen."
