[4] It's Unfair

"V... Are you okay?" Nana asked the wolf through the link. V looked sullen, sad, and lost. Nana and Jin left him alone so he could think and sort his thoughts, but it didn't stop Jin from crying while walking away.

A week later, V changed. He spent his day on the forest, living his life like a real wolf now. He even eats raw foods too. The wolf looks for food every three days to survive, and he has eaten two dead deer. It was already dead and almost rotting, but he decided to eat it. He doesn't step once inside the house; he would just look at it and then run back to the forest.

He was on the lake, soaking his body when his Nana linked him. "V... Honey, I know you are sad, but please come back here... I miss you, we miss you, your hyung is always crying for you, Tae. Please..." Tears on his eyes while hearing her.

He misses Nana too; she's so sweet, kind, and loving. She loved both of them, not only Taehyung, his human. Nana loved him too.

The rest of the animals on the woods scurried away hearing his heavy steps as he ran back to their home.

There is his family, waiting for him. Still with his wet fur, his family hugged him, telling him that he doesn't need to be all alone facing this, telling him how they love him and that will never change even if Taehyung is not here anymore.

They cried and poured out everything they stored inside of them.

Everything was okay. V presented that they should call him Taehyung instead so they won't forget Taehyung and will always be remembered. The two were hesitant at first, asking him if he won't be bothered by it. He happily replied no. Then after that, everything seemed normal again. He slept back inside and ate the meat Jin and Nana prepared for him. It's awful to eat those animals; he doesn't like it so he's glad.

A year later...

He was on his way home after having his afternoon run when his brother linked him. "Please come home fast, Nana she needs you—." His brother was stuttering while crying. He ran faster than ever. His heart beating fast for two reasons: because of the running and two, worried for Nana.

The scene shocked him. On the couch lying there was his strength; Head on his hyung's lap. Nana was dying; her hands patting him immediately. Her touch was barely there. "V... My baby, please don't be sad; I'm leaving this world because I took care of you two enough now. Take care of your hyung okay? He is 18; he will have his heat soon and if anyone courts him, scare them away and wait for his mate."

He nodded noticing the warmth that Nana had started fading as she talked to Seokjin through the Link. Seconds left before she left; she left the most important information she had: "Your mate Tae, its human form is still alive; you can still find them."

After that she was gone; leaving this world peacefully. The two mourned for a week as they bid their goodbye.

A month has passed and they are much feeling better. The brothers were on the woods to relax when he heard his brother whine. With his alpha instinct, he knew immediately what was happening. He carried his brother on his back back to their house. Locked everything he could with his paws. The front door couldn't be locked so he stood there as a guard.

His hyung is having his first heat; it doesn't bother him because they're blood-related and he has a strong control over his senses. But not the other wolves of course. He can sense them; three wolves are there on their yard.

He is strong even though he's still fifteen but he can't take three at a time if they attacked him at the same time; securing the house first before facing the wolves.

Three of them look ready to fight but the other one was more worried; two attacked him and it shocked him but the other wolf helped him; two injured alphas ran back to where they came from.

He faced the other wolf and was about to attack him when it shifted in front of him: "He is my mate." V was shocked but he played it cool; he linked his brother to confirm it and allowed the alpha to enter the house.

A minute was gone and he was ready to go when a dejected alpha with his head down walked out; not knowing how to talk to the alpha; he linked his brother: Hyung refused to mate with his alpha and almost rejected him; he got mad inside demanding his hyung to stop his mate from walking any further and asked him to come back.

He sprinted at his brother's door; a growl escaping his mouth: "Hyung! How can you do that? You had your mate in front of you why would you lose this chance?" He angrily said: "Tae, I don't want you to be alone; if I accept my mate now I won't have time to be with you; and it seems unfair; I have my mate but you... It's unfair Tae; I don't want that."

His hyung explained crying enduring the pain: he understands him and he will do the same thing too but it will be painful so he couldn't let that happen: "Hyung I love you and I understand that; the only unfair thing is when you reject your mate; same with my human dying with its pair what are you doing is not fair Hyung but if you know Taehyung he will only think that it's only fair to be gone too so none of us will suffer from losing our mate now please let your mate help you I'll be back after 5 days I'll survive without eating anything so make a feast for me when I come back okay?"

He heard his brother said 'okay' and I love you too'; he made sure first that the man locked the door inside seeing him ran upstairs: he smiled inside and wished them to be happy as he ran inside the woods to build a resting space for 5 days.

3 years later...

It's been a month since I turned 18 and Jin Hyung is pregnant for 8 weeks now; both got married a year ago when they graduated from college now both settled on their work Namjoon Hyung His Mate is a lawyer and Hyung is a chef. With their money, they renovated the house. It has two stories and five times bigger than our house. I still had my room when I was a kid. They made changes from here to there but it's still the same, tho' I don't sleep there for obvious reasons. I got my own space in the leaving room  and I have my own table and Utensils to eat and I'm glad for that

Still I'm spending my 5 days On the woods which I also build a small cabin where I can stay If Hyung will have his heat. Years of going back there, now we have the blessing

I can't wait to be an uncle.
