The sound of the chiming bell rang throughout the school grounds. This erupted a series of chairs and desks scraping against cold concrete as children scrambled to get to the tuckshop first.

I snapped my book shut and sighed, sinking back in my chair.

It's about damn time.

The teacher looked up from her pile of books that almost blocked her entire view of the class. With just a hint of black kinky hair sprouting from her messy bun, just barely visible.

"That's it for class today," Ms. Gordon announced,"If you didn't finish, please do so for homework. You may leave"

At the sound of her statement, students got up to stretch, some still stayed to finish the math problems while others just got up in a haste to get to the tuckshop.

This was a typical day at Mannings School.

A long somewhat normal day with just a rush of excitement as Lunch time came around.

The hustling and bustling of "Tastee", our one of three tuckshops was a hotspot for pushing, shoving and even fights.

But if you know the ropes well, things can get a lot easier with advantage.

You see, students run in different friend circles. Most of which allow you to be looked up to and gain an advantage at school rules and regulations.

Some...not so much.

1. The dunce n boasy who think that the school belongs to them. The same girls who use the bathroom in and between class hours to comb hair, polish shoes and put on make-up. The ones who bend the school rules and fight over the boys who seem to change girlfriends each week. Yeah, that kind. These boys are not hard to find either as they are never at class and don't know 'A from bullfoot' but hyper than dem yuh cya find. This type is prolly (probably) the most common. Ranging all throughout the grades as low as in first form where the girls only date 6th and 5th formers.

2. The nerds and club/society members. These could be considered as the entire student body reps. Always Involved in school events and activities, never miss a day of school. Dare I forget to say that they are the ones who do all the group projects and presentations while the others slack off and get an easy grade.
