She did not want to leave the kitchen of Minnie Mouse House. She was attracted by the magical cookies on the dining table, which disappear when she tried to touch. However, it was the time to leave. We had to watch the parade at the end of the day, and go home. When we left the kitchen, she burst into tears. We went back to the dining table again. Since it was a weekday, it was not so crowded. However, we cannot stay there forever. She kept on crying and crying, after we finally left the kitchen.
We had flown from Europe several days ago. It was a flight of over 10 hours. Including trains and some waiting times, it was a trip of around 20 hours. She neither complained nor cried, although it was challenging for a little girl of two years and 11 months old.
However, on the day of arrival, she had high fever. I took her to an emergency hospital around midnight. She had a tonsillitis. Perhaps, it was caused by tiredness of the travel and change of climate. It was still so hot and humid in the middle of September.
I kept on removing her fever from her back, belly, legs and arms by using some cold towels over two nights. Even if the fever was removed by the cold towels, it came back soon. However, on the third day, around 5 o'clock in the morning, the fever did not come back anymore. I was relieved, lied down on a sofa and fell asleep. I was totally exhausted, because I had not slept since our arrival. After a while, I heard a voice. "Daddy, come and sleep beside me." She was standing near the sofa. She had a lively face. She was recovered and walked to my sofa!
So, we came to Disneyland on that day. It was one of the big events in this trip. However, perhaps she was mentally still not yet stable on that day, especially in a completely new atmosphere for her and after the fever.
By the time of the parade, she stopped crying, and we enjoyed it. Because she needed a nap, we could visit only a few attractions. Nevertheless, I am glad that she could enjoy Disneyland.
