The night was only halfway trough when it got colder with every second passing. Christine was curled up into a ball on one side of the couch, her jaw shaking and her lips turning blue.
If only she decided to wear a pair of long trousers instead of a short skirt.Christine let out a shaky breath when she removed her arms from around her legs, trying to sit up straight so that she could look for anything that might work as a blanket, when suddenly she heard movements coming from the little bathroom door.
"Did I wake you?"
Damiano whispered when he spotted the unclear figure on the couch, closing the bathroom door and walking back towards the couch."No, no, I'm just cold."
Christine replied, looking back at him, trying to find his facial features in the dark."Yeah it's freezing in here."
Damiano agreed with the girl, wrapping his arms around himself to keep warm.
"I think there might be a blanket in the drawer.""Oh, thanks."
Christine stood up and headed towards the dresser immediately, praying to herself that he was right and there was indeed a blanket in there. Which he was.
"Found it.""Good, I feel like I'm going to freeze to death."
Damiano exaggerated."One problem tho."
Christine spoke up while walking back towards the couch on which the boy was seated.
"There is only one.""Guess we gotta share."
Damiano shrugged, not seeing a problem with it."How?"
She asked in confusion, throwing the soft, fluffy blanket his way, receiving a perfect catch from him."Come here."
Was all he replied with, motioning to her to come sit next to him on the small space of the couch."Damiano I don't think that's a good idea."
Christine confessed. Even though she was feeling extremely cold at the moment, she knew sleeping so close to the boy would cause a lot of chaos into the relationship they were trying to rebuild together."So you prefer to freeze to death?"
Damiano lifted his eyebrow, unlike the girl, he didn't care much about ruining the relationship, he just wanted to keep her warm when she was obviously far away from it."Maybe."
The girl shrugged, causing a scoff from the boy.
"You can have the blanket, I'll be fine.""No you won't. Your body is shaking."
He pointed out, watching her stand in front of him with wobbly legs."Just quit being stubborn and let me keep you warm. I promise I won't try to do anything."
"Okay fine."
Christine finally gave in, she really didn't want to, but she was too cold to care at this point.
"But if you even try to touch me I will break every single one of your bones."
