Teyvat High AU (on hiatus)

The pre-homeroom seance

The candle-lit room flickered gently, illuminating their circle of shadows.

The candle wax dripped onto the dusty floor, hardening as it touched the cold wooden boards.

The messy lines of chalk combined to form a somewhat visible pentagram in the center of their formation. The dimly lit room made it hard to see anything but the shape of their bodies highlighted against the yellow light.

Pale, ring-covered fingers extended towards the center of the circle, placing a piece of paper sealed with a wax emblem and silk thread in the center of the pentagram.

"...Our great and powerful Morax, the god of contracts, we bring you gifts from life to death..." The hands extended out, followed by a head bowing down as she reached for those to each side of her.

The circle took eachother hand in hand and spoke the rest of the incantation in unision.

"Commune with us, Morax, and move among--"

The closet door opened, letting in the piercing fluorescent light. A few groans could be heard as the group covered their eyes, trying to see who walked in on their seance.

The red-haired janitor stood with a mop swung over his shoulder like a heavy sword, his crimson eyes seemed to burn holes as he glared at the students sitting in a circle, holding hands around a piece of old paper.

A few minutes of awkward silece was held between them as Diluc held his gaze with the small group, consisting of Hu Tao, Xinyan, Xingqiu, who dragged along his boyfriend, Chongyun, and Fischl.

"The Janitor...?" Fiscl asked, almost in a condescending tone.

"Mr. Diluc.." Hu tau stared up at him with a smirk on her face, "..Care to join--"

The red-haired janitor slammed the door shut before she could finish her sentence. The small cart could be heard quickly wheeling away.

"You think he's going to tell on us..." Chongyun asked, looking at Xinqiu who was basically responsible for getting him into this.

"Nah, why would he, he's got nothin--" Xingyan began but was interrupted but Xinqiu.

"You shouldn't be so quick to forget that Diluc, Teyvat High Janitor, also happens to run detention, freshmen.." His piercing glare directed its gaze at Xingyan and Hu Tao.

"Well, either way, it'll take a few minutes for him to write up all those detention slips, even if he does, so," Hu Tao offered her hands out again, "Shall we continue?"

Her bubbly smile contrasted what they were doing so severely it almost sent chills down their spine as they took hold of eachothers hands again and continued their morning, pre-homeroom seance...

That concludes chapter 1 of Teyvat High!! :D Me and Zee randomly decided to make this so maybe she'll post some stuff on it too :3
