The gym teacher was late

"Dang, guess someone's gonna have to kick Mr. Diluc out of the gc," Amber sighed as she sat down on the bottom of the bleachers. She looked up at Razor who was walking across the metal seats, balancing himself with his outstretched arms.
"So, I know I was supposed to show you around, but we have gym in 10 minutes and Mr. Childe is always early, and if you're here before him you get extra credit."
"Extra credit? Why?" Razor asked as he hopped down to the seat she was sitting on.
"I dunno. I think he just wants everyone to get an A. Either that or he does it to make another sort of competition between his students and himself..." Amber smiled awkwardly, realizing she was just playing into it.
"Do we get extra credit?" Razor sat down next to her and asked.
"Unless he pops out of the storage room, then yep!" Amber smiled, but thought for a second, "...It's strange though, Childe has never been less than 20 minutes early to class.. One time I even skipped 2nd period to be here before him, but he was just sitting in the middle of the gym, texting anyone online if they wanted to play basketball with him!! It's no fair T-T I've never gotten here before him.. But I have a feeling that today's the day, Razor!"
Razor nodded.
"Oh, something wrong?" Amber tilted her head, concerned.
"No, no.. I am fine.. Just... Talk lots.. Make Razor tired.." He let out a yawn, revealing a sharp pair of canines.
"Wow!! Dang, I've never met anyone with canines that look as sharp as yours!!" Amber leaned in, staring at him in awe.
"Uh.. thank you.." Razor didn't really understand what she was saying because she was talking kinda fast but assumed it was a compliment based on the way she was acting.
Suddenly, the bell rang, and after a few more minutes, students started to show up in the gym.
"Hey, you two~ what were you doing in the gym all alone?" Lumine popped around the corner, eyeing Amber and Razor.
"Lumine!!" Amber's face flushed pink, "You know I was waiting here to get here before Childe!!"
"Hahaha, I know, but you're fun to tease, bunny," Lumine walked over to her and poked her hair band tied up into the shape of bunny ears.
"Speaking of Childe, though, where is that string bean.." Lumine looked around for the familiar tall ginger but he was nowhere in sight.
"Lumine!!!!" Lumine was suddenly interrupted from her train of thought by her brother, who tackled her back, shoving his phone in her face.
"Xiao's phone number is in my phone. MY phone. Can you believe it?!?" Aether almost sounded like a girl with how happy he was.
"Wow, good for you, only took you since middle school to ask for it," Lumine rolled her eyes, pushing him off of her.
"Uh- actually... he just took my phone and put it in himself...." Aether mumbled.
"He what?" Lumine held back her laugher, "You didn't even ask him? He just took your phone and put it in? Wow, good for Xiao."
"What's good for me?" Xiao suddenly appeared behind the little group, scaring Aether, who's back had been facing where he was coming from.
"You put your-" Lumine began but was interrupted but Aether, who saw Bennett and yelled for him to come over.
"OH HEY, it's BENNETT. Lumine, don't you think you should say HI to BENNETT," His yelling made the white-haired boy turn his head in confusion.
"What's up, guys?" Bennett walked over to the group, but his face seemed to light up a bit when he noticed Razor sitting on the bleachers.
"Oh hey, Razor! I didn't know we were taking the same gym class!" He scratched the back of his head, starting to imagine Razor playing different sports.
"Does Bennett think canines are sharp?" Razor stood up and walked over to the white haired boy, leaning close and baring his teeth. Razor didn't seem to know what personal space was..
The others just watched as Razor was leaning a few inches away from Bennett's face, while Bennett had turned a bright shade of red.
"Uh- what do you mean, exactly..?" Bennett averted his gaze.
"Teeth! Look!" Razor grabbed his face and turned it to look at his teeth rather forcefully.
"Uh- yea! They're.." Bennett took a second to actually look at them, "Wait- wow! Your canines are actually really sharp looking!! Dang, Razor! How'd you get teeth like that?"
Razor seemed happy to be praised by Bennett as he turned around and sat back down, smiling.
The rest of the group looked at each other, then at Bennett and Razor.
"W-what? Why are you all staring at me??" Bennett suddenly felt very awkward.
"And you were saying you don't have a c. r. u. s. h. on r. a. z. o. r.?" Lumine stared at him, spelling it out.
"Hush, he might hear and we have no idea what Bennett might do then," Aether giggled, pointing at Razor, who wasn't even paying attention. He was just playing with his shoe laces.
"I don't think he heard," Xiao said, watching him play with his shoelaces.
"Huh," Amber looked over at him, "He reminds me of a little brother <3"
"Omg yes I just want to put a flower crown on him," Lumine smiled.
"H-he's right there, you know!!" Bennett blushed at the idea of Razor with a flower crown on, "But, I definitely do not have a crush on him!! We literally just met this morning! How can you get a crush on someone that fast!!"
"Hehe, hun, you can get a crush on someone you pass by while walking down the street! It just means you find them attractive and want to get to know more about them!" Barbara popped up behind him, smiling.
"Yea and it means you wanna do the "now kith" together," Xiao added, making Bennett's face turn even more red.
"U-uh.... Well- I don't want to kith him...." Bennett glanced over at Razor, who was still tuning them all out. He smiled gently as he gazed at him.
Wait crap- I just imagined kissing him ;-; Bennett thought to himself craaap noo it felt imaginary good ;-;
"W-well even if I did have a crush on him, I don't think Razor would like me back, I don't even know if he'd understand that kind of thing," Bennett said in a quieter tone, not wanting Razor to possibly hear.
"He's not a kid, Bennett, he knows what a crush and stuff is," Aether argued.
"I dunno, he seemed pretty sheltered..." Lumine glanced at him.
The argument eventually became just between the siblings as the rest of the group watched them argue over whether or not Razor would be a good kisser.
"Where's Childe?" Razor suddenly looked up at the group, nearly scaring half the life out of all of them.
"Razor, don't do that to us!!" Aether gripped his chest nervously.
"Do what?"
"Uh- don't.. scare... us," Lumine tried to think of an answer.
"I dunno where Childe is, he should be here by now.. Class started ten minutes ago.." Xiao said, easily changing the subject.

The students waited around, chilling on the bleachers and talking while they waited for their teachers to show up.
"Maybe he's sick?" Barbara asked.
"Maybe he died," Xiao said bluntly.

10 more minutes of waiting.

"Ahaha sorry I'm late class!!!" The familiar, child-like voice could be heard from around the corner.
Childe ran around the corner of the bleachers, breathing heavily as if he had been running for awhile. His hair was pretty messed up and his clothes looked pretty ruffled up.
"I was just having a talk with Mr. Zhongli and seemed to loose track of the time, hehe.." Childe scratched the back of his head and adjusted his shirt.
"Mr. Childe is that a hiccie on your neck," Xiao barely even need to glance at him to notice the red mark on the base of his neck.
"Ah- Xiao!! Haha, I was just having a discussion with your dad!!"
"There's no need to worry, Mr. Childe. Everyone knows you and Mr. Zhongli are dating ^-^" Barbara smiled.
"But I would suggest keeping that sort of business outside of the school.." Xiao gave him another glance and sent shivers down Childe's spine.
"Ahhhahaha... yea, you're probably right, Xiao..." His blue eyes met with Xiao's, creating a thick tension in the room. He couldn't believe he was answering to his boyfriend's son.

..he wasn't wrong tho..

"Anyways, class!" Childe quickly looked back at the other students, changing the mood so quickly it surprised most of them, "Today, we'll be playing baseball because, as you know, our baseball team needs more players!! So if you enjoy gym today, please consider joining the team!!!" Childe smiled.

And with that, the sophomores played baseball.
