POV Stefania
"I know it's a bad time to ask you this now but is she treating you well? I know how she can be sometimes so I just wanted to check" Stephanie blurs out at some point while the both of us are cutting paprika."Excuse me, what?" I ask her confused.
"Danielle, is she treading you well?"
"Uh- Yeah, of course. Always."
"Okay, good. If you ever need someone to talk to then come to me, okay? If you need any advice about her or so. Or when you, I don't know, want to surprise her and need to know about some stuff she likes, just ask me. But also when you have like a fight, I can give you some tips."
"Alright, thank you, Stephanie. And thanks for being so concerned but there's no need to be, your sister truly is the best"
"Ugh, I want to be in love too," she says more to herself than to me so I don't even tempt to say anything to her in response.
There's not a lot of talking going on due to the fact we're both very focused on the work in front of us, though I am being interrupted as someone puts their arms around me from behind. She places a soft kiss on my shoulder and as soon as I turn my head slightly to the side also one peck onto the lips.
"Why weren't you in bed with me?" Danielle asks me in a whisper, unaware of her sister starring at us from the other side of the kitchen. I can tell that she has changed into some more comfortable clothes and she took off her Apple Watch as well. Her eyes still seem a bit sleepy, though bright blue and loving.
"I just wanted to help down here. Mi dispiace"
"Non preoccuparti""Since when do you know Italian?" Stephanie eventually hooks up to the conversation which puts Danielle's gaze from me to her sister without backing off a single bit.
"I'm still learning," she responds smiling, leaning further to my side until her head is supported by my shoulder."I see" Stephanie just says nodding her head in approval. "I bet you know all the dirty things"
"Puoi portare le patate per favore."
I just laugh silently as she says it.
"Okay, I don't even want to know what it means," Stephanie says with a quite disgusted face.
"Oh, well" Danielle starts. "It actually just means 'Can you bring the potatoes please.', but okay"
"Not funny Dani," her sister says, mimick changing at the spot. "Can you help us though? People are coming in about two hours"
"Sure, what are you doing anyway?" Danielle asks as she finally lets go of me.
"Just preparing some salads and sandwiches for everyone"
"Who's coming exactly though? Mom just said something about our cousins and so"
"Yeah, that's actually it. Uncles and cousins from all ankles"
Danielle just nods at that as she goes over to her sister who is holding a cutting board to her. "Thanks," she says as she takes a hold of it before standing beside me at the counter.
POV Danielle
About an hour later, Stefania and I make our way back to our room to get ready for the evening."Are you wearing your suit or your dress today?" I ask my girlfriend who's standing indecisively in front of the two options of clothing.
"Not sure" she responds, with her right foot tapping up and down.
"Hey" I start while approaching her. I take a hold of her hand and run my thumb over the back of her hand. "You seem nervous, babe"
"I actually am a bit." I take a step forward so I can directly look at her face where a slight smile creeps over.
