"Rough day?"

Marin plops next to me on the couch with a sigh. I kiss him on the cheek.

I giggle and start a movie. I know Marin wants to do nothing except relax with me, so that's what we're going to do.

"What movie is this?"

I shrug my shoulders as I turn toward the TV.

"Not sure, but it will be nice to explore something new."

The beginning of the movie is slow and dreadful. What did I even pick?

I furrow my brow as the movie plays on and even notice Marin starting to doze off. I shake my head, but look up when I hear a moan.

I sit up fully as the scene plays out nicely. I hear Marin shift next to me and look over.

He's already taking his clothes off. I follow suit and barely get all my clothes off before Marin pounces on me.

"I guess you chose a good movie after all."

My mind goes blank for a few minutes as I process the information.

I put the pregnancy test down and rush out the door. I know what I want to do.

I'm on the couch eating my second container of ice cream. I haven't done any better after finding out I'm pregnant.

I haven't even seen Marin all day. I saw him off in the morning before he went to work, but he should have been home by now.

As if he heard my thoughts, Marin steps through the door. He's smiling wider than I've ever seen.

I set my ice cream down as I sit up. Marin sits next to me on the couch. He doesn't know what to do with his hands. He's so happy.

His hands finally settle on my own.

"(Y/N), I know I'm gone all the time even on my days off, but I think of you every second. There's no one else I would rather be with. I know I want you by my side for the rest of my life."

Marin drops to one knee in front of me. A pit of nervousness and excitement fills me inside.

Marin opens a small box, and inside there is a white-gold ring with a diamond on top.

"(Y/N), will you marry me?"

I smile as I feel tears welling in my eyes.

"Yes!"

Marin carefully slides the ring on my finger before swinging me around in a hug.

We share a long, passionate kiss before Marin picks me up bridal style.
