I ended up taking a taxi home since it would have been quite a walk from the building. I wasn't in the mood to do anything else. I was so flustered and confused.  And boy would I be lying if I said I still wasn't pissed off at Tay. I was actually kind of relieved when I didn't see her car in the little lot. I'd rather let some of the built up steam her and Mr. "I'm the boss" caused to cool off.

When I reached our door I unlocked it and stepped inside, closing it behind me. Physically and mentally drained I kicked off my shoes and dropped my purse right by the door, rubbing my ass on the way to my room.  I gathered my robe and headed over to our shared bathroom.  For a tiny apartment it wasn't so bad. It had enough space for three people to stand around in it and not be crammed, and the tub was a good size too.  I started the water and waited to put the plug in until it was steaming. I knew I needed a nice relaxing bath to help calm me, and maybe to help my newly stinging ass.  Once it felt about right I put the plug in and went to the closet to get my sweet pea scented bubble bath. Adding a good amount, I placed it to the side and since the tub wasn't even half full I headed to the kitchen to grab a glass and some wine. Yes, this is exactly what I needed.

I finally slipped into the hot water and sank down until my head was the only part of my body you could see. Sipping my wine and enjoying the peace and quiet, my mind unconsciously wandered to Mr. Hendricks. He is really the first man to catch my attention. I mean I've had a few guys in high school and even college show me their affections, but never until now have I felt that way. Was it his looks? Don't get me wrong he is probably the most attractive man I've ever seen, but, definitely not the only one. Maybe it was the situation. Maybe he had just caught me off guard. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I knew there was something about him. Maybe it was the pure hunger in his eyes when he looked at me.  I couldn't really figure it out, but I knew that I was undoubtedly attracted to the man. I also knew that after what happened today in his office, I could never see him again. Ever. Something deep down warned me he wasn't the man for me. But then, if the one and only man that's ever caught my attention wasn't the one for me, who was? Maybe I was just meant to live alone forever. Just thinking that made me feel lonely. Maybe I would get a cat. Or a dog. Tay isn't to fond of animals, but maybe I could convice her. After all she owes me, right?

My eyelids started feeling heavy so I reached over and put my wine on the ground. I sunk back in and let out a big sigh. As I let the warmth of the water envelope me, those beautiful green blue eyes popped back into my mind.

"Im home!!!" I shot up and water sloshed all around me. The freezing water and lack of bubbles told me that I had slept for quite some time. I rubbed my hands down my face and stood, shivering in the process. What time was it? I must have left my phone in my purse, which I had left by the door. Ugh.

"Kylie?" I heard Taylor's footsteps heading towards me down the little hallway.

"I'm in the bathroom. Just a minute." I replied while stepping over the edge of the tub and trying not to slip in the process. I drained the tub water and dried myself off with a towel. Then I wrapped my robe around my cold, naked body and opened the door. Taylor was standing there with a stupid smirk on her face. I walked right by her into my room across the hall to the right. Of course, she followed me.

"So....." She ran in front of me to my bed and jumped on it twisting in mid air to face me. I rolled my eyes and unclipped my hair.

        "So, what?" I replied.

"How'd it go today?" I turned to my dresser and took out a pair of lace undies and slid them on.

"It was fine, you know Benny, never let's me pay a dime."
