Making Moves

Twirling in the mirror, Edgy couldn't help but smile. Simon, the Simon had asked them on a date.
Edgy was only 2 hours away from what they hoped would be the best day of their year. They quickly ran downstairs to make a cup of coffee, sleep didn't come easy last night and they needed to get some caffeine.
How could they sleep? Simon had just asked them to go on a date!

Finishing the lacing of their boots, three knocks came from the door. Edgy quickly grabbed their wallet and raced to the door. Greeted by a warm smile, Simon stood there, his glasses nestled perfectly on his nose. Edgy smiled shyly as Simon took their hand and led them to the car.
Edgy couldn't take their eyes off him, he was wearing black skinny jeans that hugged him beautifully, and an opened button up shirt that showed off his toned body, his light patch of fur complimenting his eyes.
This was better than Edgy could have ever imagined it.
Rolling the windows down, they drove blaring music.
"I wanna piss on the walls of your house!!" Simon and Edgy sang together, feeling freedom on the open roads.
Simon glanced over at Edgy who was staring out the window, a smile painted on their face. He looked at their hand that was significantly close to his... He made up his mind, slowly he placed their hand in his as he quickly looked back at the road, feeling their eyes on him.
As they neared the lake, he slowly released their hand to stear with too paws. Edgy's smile softened a bit, but perked back up as soon as they were out carrying their baskets to the lakeside.
Simon layed out the blanket as Edgy placed down the basket, setting out the food. Simon let himself fall to the ground across from them, his shirt falling on opposite sides of his body, leaving his chest completely bare.
Edgy looked up to see him staring at them, and again, their cheeks went a hot pink.
Simon chuckled, he loved doing that to them.
"What are you snickering about??!" Edgy said trying to cover their rosey cheeks.
Simon let out another laugh as he watched their reaction.
"Not funny!!" they said, slightly shoving his shoulder. A smile becoming evident on both their faces.
Placing the rest of their food down, Simon brushed his hand against Edgy's, glacing up Edgy smiled and quickly took a blueberry, throwing it and hitting him in the head.
Simon took one too, tossing it at Edgy, grinning as they huffed.
"C'mon man not cool," Edgy said in a mocking tone, "You could have hurt me! I would never throw something at you."
Simon raised his brow, "Oh?" He grabbed an acorn off the ground and flicked it at them.
"Owwwww," Edgy whined, picking it up and throwing it back. They smiled pleased with themself.
Simon chuckled, "So we are lying now? I don't like liars..." He smiled at Edgy. "We'll just have to change that."
He stood up, towering over them, and reached down to pick them up.
Edgy's eyes almost popped out of their sockets, "Woah!! What are you doing?!"
"Teaching you a lesson."
He made his way over to the water, kicking his shoes off and wading in it. "Are you gonna lie again?" He quickly loosened his grip on them, but tightened it again. 
Edgy screamed clinging onto Simon, "NO!!" Then they glanced down, "You wouldn't drop me in this shallow of water!"
"You're right.." He walked out farther.
"OKAY OKAY!!" Edgy yelled. "DON'T GET MY BOOTS WET!!!"
Simon grabbed their shoes, tossing them back onto the shore. Quickly he let himself go backwards into the water, pulling Edgy too.
"YOU SHIT!!" they screamed as the freezing water hit them, holding on tighter to Simon as he lifted himself out of the lake.

Sitting on their blanket wrapped in towels they leaned against each other, Simon's tail tight around Edgy's waist, watching the sunset. Simon had his arm draped over their shoulder.
Slowly, he trurned to face Edgy, using his other hand to move their face towards his. He stared deeply into their eyes, then down at their lips... Slowly they both leaned in...
Edgy wanted to live that moment forever.
