The Attack

trying to help

I slowly walk towards him until the wooden planks under my feet creek, I stopped my heart stopped it felt like time stopped my neighbor stopped shaking for a moment. I see him turn around to face me and he has blood coming from his mouth he has blood on his robe and starts whispering to me "help me please, they are going to come back" I looked at him confused and asked "what do you mean they? what happened to you?" He says "I don't know they broke in and bit me please help me" I read this before I started to ask myself is this a zombie outbreak? No, it couldn't be not me not now this only happens in the movies. Before I can say anything else he started compulsions, if this is a zombie thing I got to run, NOW!

I run for my mom's purse and get her keys and I bolt out the front door with my knife and phone. Once I got outside I saw more blood and more bodies, on the street, on the streets, on the houses and front doors. I saw a body on my neighbor's driveway it was his wife, I hear a low growl I turn and I see him I jump in the car and start it. I pull out and I go down my street seeing all the destruction. I don't know where to go, I only have my permit, I don't know where my family is and I'm scared. I hear someone screaming and I stop I don't leave the car but I stop and I watch a woman run out of her house towards me I lock my doors. Someone is running behind her and when they catch up to her they push her to the ground and bite her neck. Her screams become softer and softer until they fall silent. 

I continued driving crying, I decided to go to my boyfriend's place hoping he is ok and has answers. I tried the radio but nothing is on but static. As I keep driving all I see is destruction and I've finally accepted that z nation, the walking dead, Shawn of the dead, the dawn of the dead, 28 days later, and every other zombie movie is happening right before my eyes. My mission right now is to find my mom, sister, boyfriend and hopefully get answers. I don't know how to work a gun and I don't know where to get one so maybe I can find some people with guns willing to help me. 

Authors note: Sorry for the wait on this story I highkey forgot about it and also didn't know what else I wanted to do with it but now I do lmao. I also have more time to work on it since I graduated finally.
