Carter woke up a little earlier than usual. He got up from the bed and looked out the window as dawn peaked through the sky. He looked over at Warren, who was still asleep. Carter smiled a bit as he walked out of the room. Carter began to prepare morning coffee before starting up breakfast.

"Morning, Pops." A soft voice was heard. Carter turned around and noticed Braden entering the kitchen.

"Oh, Morning, Braden. What are you doing up early? Your dad and I are usually up before you." Carter asked him.

"..Just one of those mornings I guess." Braden chuckled, sitting down at the table.

Carter noticed Braden acting a little off, fidgeting a bit at the table.

"Are you okay?" Carter asked.

Braden looked over at Carter. "Oh, I'm right as rain. Don't worry about it."

Carter raised a brow and headed over to Braden.

"Come on, I know you. Something's definitely up." Carter said.

Braden sighed. "Can it.. can it wait until dad's up?" He asked him.

"Oh, sure Braden. I hope it's nothing serious." Carter said.

"It's nothing like that. It's just something that I've been thinking about a lot lately and I need to get it off my chest. It's personal." Braden said.

"Alright. We'll wait until your father is up." Carter said as he patted Braden on the head before heading back to finish making breakfast.

Later, Warren entered the kitchen. "Good morning, son. I didn't expect to see you up right now." He said.

"Morning, dad." Braden said.

Carter walked over to Warren and gave him a kiss on the cheek as he gave him some coffee. Braden softly smiled as he looked at them.

"So, Braden. You mentioned earlier that you wanted to talk about something important." Carter said.

Braden took a deep breath. "Yeah, I did. This is something that I've been dealing with for a while now, and I think I'm now ready to tell you. I'm bisexual." He said.

Warren and Carter both looked at Braden and smiled softly at him.

"Braden, that's great. I'm so happy for you." Warren said.

"Thanks, dad. Believe me, it's taking a bit of courage right now to tell you. I've been having these feelings for a while now, and I finally came to terms with it." Braden replied.

"Braden, you know that I would accept you no matter what. I mean, look at us. Carter and I are happily married together as husbands. Plus I just want what's best for you and for you to be happy." Warren said.

"I know. You guys inspired me to come out actually. Seeing how much you guys are happy together. I just hope I get that same kind of love too, no matter if it's with a guy or a girl." Braden said.

"Wow, I'm really touched, Braden. I'm glad that we inspired you to come out. I'm so proud of you." Carter said.

Braden smiled. "Thanks, pops."

"I'm proud of you too, son. I'll always be." Warren said, giving Braden a hug and a kiss on his forehead. "I'll be back. Gotta go check on Ian." He said as he headed out of the kitchen.

"You know, this got me thinking of giving you a little something to congratulate you." Carter said.

"Really? What is it?" Braden asked.

"It's a surprise. But I think you're gonna love it." Carter replied.

"Awesome. I can't wait to see what it is." Braden said.

Later, after the family finished breakfast, Warren and Carter decided to head out.

"We'll be back, okay?" Carter said.

"Okay." Braden replied as he nodded.

"And are you sure you can watch Ian?" Warren asked Braden.

"Yes, dad. I can watch him. I've done it many times before." Braden replied.

"Alright. See you guys in a little bit." Warren said as he and Carter headed out.

Later on, Warren and Carter returned home.

"Hey guys. We're home. How were things here?" Warren said as he came in with Carter, who was holding something behind his back.

"Hey dad. It was just fine. Smooth as silk." Braden said.

"Great. We have a little something for you. We think you'll love it." Warren said as Carter held a bag.

"Open it." Carter said, giving him the bag.

Braden opened the bag and pulled out a pink, purple, and blue colored flag.

"A bi flag?" Braden asked.

"Yup. You can hang it in your room above your bed or something." Carter said.

Braden began to tear up a bit. "I.. I love it so much. Thank you." He said, giving Carter and then Warren a hug.

"You're welcome son. Also, there's another thing in the bag for you." Warren said.

Braden checked the bag again and pulled out a rainbow colored bracelet.

"This is so cool. Thanks again." Braden said, putting the bracelet on his wrist.

"We're just so proud of you, Braden. We want you to be the happiest you can be." Warren said.

Braden smiled as he gave his parents another hug.

"Come on, let's go put up your flag." Warren said.

"Okay. I know the perfect spot to put it. On the wall next to my bed." Braden said.

"Sounds great. Let's go." Carter said, smiling at Braden.
