Chapter 1

My name is Kayleigh. I am 24 and the happiest person on the planet. I just got married to the best man ever - Niall Horan. Yes from One Direction. We've been best friends for years but never knew it would end like this. Here is how it started:

8 years ago

"I love you" I texted Jay (my boyfriend). We had a bit of a fight last night and I needed to get him to talk to me. The only person I wanted to talk to last night was Niall. He's my best friend.

We always have a laugh and I love him. As a friend. He always manages to make me smile. The only problem is he fancies me. It's obvious. That's why I couldn't talk to him last night. It's really awkward. I wish he just loved me as a friend. That was kind of what the fight was about. Jay always gets jealous of Niall. Last night he wanted sex, but I refused. He yelled at me and blamed Niall. I protested and tried to push past him. He threw me against the wall. I let free of his grasp and ran out of the door.

There was a knock at the door. I looked at myself. My trackies and vest top didnt hide the massive bruise on my chest from Jay. Iot up and looked who it was. It was Niall. When I answered his eyes drifted down to my chest. I thought he was looking at my boobs until I realised it was the bruise. "WHO DID THIS TO YOU?!" he yelled. I tried to calm him down but he was firey with anger. "IT WAS JAY, WASNT IT!.WHY?"

I dont know how it happened but I burst into tears and told him everything. He made me a hot chocolate and hugged me, making sure it wasn't painful.

To cheer me up we had a movie afternoon, just like we used to. I invited my friend Amy to join us but she couldn't come.

The day went better than I thought it would until the end. We were sitting on the sofa and I turned around. I looked into his big friendly eyes. He always had had friendly eyes. It was then I felt something. Not that I knew it at the time, but it was love.
