I'll put a picture of what Noir looks like he's an octopus and I don't own the pic or one piece. Just a heads up because there's going to be some rascal things due to the slavers not caring about the fishmen you've been warned.

*Narrators POV*

It was peaceful down on fishman island with its bright and beautiful scenery but this is not where our story is, it's in the slums and it is the story of a young octopus fishman named Noir.

Life is hard down in the slums, no family to take care of the little boy so he had to take care of himself most of the time, only knowing the occasional kindness of others. This is where we start in a dark alleyway where a sleeping child lays.

*Noir's POV*

Light starts to hit my eyes as I wake up, yawning. I rub my eyes to help them adjust. Standing up I stretch all my limbs before I make my way out of my alley. 'I wonder if I can find any food today?' I thought to myself so I headed to my usual spots to see if anyone was willing to help me.

Slowly walking down the street I can't help, but think how I was still able to stand. I haven't eaten in 3 days. I'm starving and due to this I'm stumbling every now and then as I make my journey to the market.

The market was the busiest place in these slums anyone who had money would come here for food, this place is the closest to the surface of the water so it's risky to go as humans are often here.

'so staying out of their way is my number one priority whenever I come here' I think to myself, but as of late it's becoming harder that's why i haven't eaten much.

Sighing as the market comes in to view "I'm gonna have to be more careful humans are I town today and I don't have the strength to fight them off or run" I say to myself quietly trying to get some courage from my words, not that it'd help me I needed to stay out of the way.

"Yo kid" exclaimed one of the shopkeepers I turned to, the person expecting to be yelled at like usual, but that's not what happened "you should run away humans are on here they're taking anyone they can get there hands on" the elder said coming close.

I was confused because they came yesterday as well. That's why I waited so long to come here seeing as the elder was now right next to me I looked up at him, " I noticed that you haven't eaten in a while so take this and go."

He gives me food which by all means I'm thankful for but, I'm skeptical no one just gives me food I always have to steal or beg for it so I took it but didn't eat it if it had, some sort of drug in it I would rather be out of view when it kicks in.

"Thank you" I whispered to the elder and slither off away from sight as quickly as I could, feeling eyes watching me waiting for something. Nervous, I make my way back to the alleyway where I hide my very few personal belongings.

This alleyway was narrow so no adult could get in and steal my belongings, arranging myself so I could sit down crossing all my legs to make it easier 'finally food.'

I couldn't wait scoffing down the small meal I was given "ahhhh it's been so long since I've had any food I missed this feeling" I exclaim rubbing my stomach with one of my legs, as I lean back with both my arms supporting me revealing in this little moment of peace I could not, believe I was given food that easy and I didn't run into any human slavers today was gonna be a good day.

Not long after that thought I started to feel dizzy my vision was blurry and I was feeling tired 'oh no it was drugged' my thoughts exploded with worry I knew it was too good to be true he was helping the human slavers, I feel myself losing conciseness black dots cover my vision and I finally I pass out with only one last thought 'why me'.
