So a lot of young people uses slang obviously, but you could say Korean slang shortens words.

I'm pretty sure we English speakers do too. Eg- Lmfao, WTF, Wth, LOL, PPL, FTW, etc.

Korean does that too but it may be kinda difficult. I'm pretty sure the words I wrote down below they were in the Korean Slang chapter, but in this CH, I'm just explaining them.

1) Ssam: Teacher

Original word- Seong Sang Nim

*combined the two s' together and put 'am'

2) Beffe: best friend

Original word- best friend

Koreans pronunciations for B and F are pretty bad LOL soz, so if you took the 'Be' and the 'Ph' from the best friend, it Will sound like Beffe.

This word was not invented until the Kdrama 'My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho' came out. Then B A M it went popular.

3) eomppa: mom and dad

Original word- eomma, appa

As you can see, you just take out the 'ma' and the 'a' from each word and if you combine it, it means mom and dad.

4) selca: selife

Original word- self camera

Just basically like Selfie instead SEL-f camer-A.

5) chimaek: Chicken and beer

Original word- chicken, Maekjoo

Since chicken and Maekjoo (Korean liquid) are a good combination in korea, they say CHIMAEK.
