..3rd pov..
Koi wasn't exactly fond of jogging or fast walking even when he was stuck in this heat, even if it would get him to his destination faster it hardly crossed Koi's mind to speed up. That's because walking from place to place, albeit hot, was his only break from his host club and dates. Often Koi would walk from Hopes peak, to one of his host clubs near by during lunch and after school but the sun wasn't doing him any favors for his odorlessness. Still like any leader would he stayed calm, after all there were a few trees beside him that granted the purple haired boy some much needed shade. He very much was the type to sit next to a tree and enjoy the world around him but as usual business calls.
Koi Kaunaz was in the shsl host club, namely the leader, and Ultimate flirt. He was average height, could be mistaken for either gender but prefers he/them pronouns. His uniform is more stylized compared to the normal Hopes peak uniform. He displayed a brownish orange blazer jacket with gold detailing on the rips of the collar along with one side of the collar fading from black to red, he wore a simple skinny red tie was loosely tied to his shirt collar with a solid yellow sweater over both the tie and shirt, something he'd regret wearing in this heat. He kept his gender a secret even to the school so in turn wore both skirts and shorts, to reward himself for being such a good flirt he let his legs breathe and wore his skirt. His hair was curly, short and usually in a bob cut unless he grew it out, which he wasn't fond of. His hair was a dark purpleish brown and his eyes were a deep red, he fancied more of a hazel colour but that isn't what he got.
A sense of relief washed over him for a few moments each time he walked under another tree. Soon, without him realizing it his steps started to slow. The cause of this being the breathtaking boy just a few meters in front of him. The Ultimate Occultist, he had short brown hair that had been combed back on one side while the rest of his bangs lay perfectly over his eyes, he had somewhat of a nerdy look that paired strangely with his suave, handsome face. Long sleeve button up shirt, sleeves rolled up due to heat, dark dress pants and a messenger bag with multiple buttons on the straps.
Because of their prior interactions Koi's usual confident and social self cowered under his hot skin. It wasn't as though the two had a falling out, well maybe it seemed that way to few of the other boys friends but not to Koi, not to each other. After all they both made a very special promise, even if it was never spoken their actions toward one another proved how special that promise was. The flirt remembered, he remembered the moment clearly.
Koi was hurt, pleading and crying. You'd think a guy like him would have more shame as to not get on his knees and beg but Koi knew better than to hide behind false feelings like shame, even if it did seem that way from the outside. He was trying to leave again, and never return to Hopes peak. Being the shsl Occultist Koi was afraid his friend was in serious trouble, so he pleaded, 'If there's anything I can do to help, never let it cross your mind to hesitate.' Koi didn't even bother to add his little 'My darling's at the end, this to him was the end of the world. This was not what the occultists escape attempt was about, it was about something much more personal. The occultist, Brody, felt as though he didn't deserve Hopes peak. his friends, his encounters. But the one thing that would always convince him to stay was Koi, the fact Koi was begging surprised him to an extent, he didn't think he'd be missed. but what Koi said next was what triggered the promise.
"Please, I need an answer, Brody! Stop playing with my heart and give me a straight answer! Are you staying or leaving?"
Brody could never give Koi a straight answer, that's not what he wanted at all. Not in case if he wanted to run away again but because having Koi beg him to stay was reassuring, it allowed him confirm he was still loved and cared for. And to be honest, even if it was selfish, even if the encounter was draining and repetitive, Brody needed that reassurance. And the fact Brody hugged the flirt made Koi okay with that cycle. No matter how many times he'd try to run and how many times he begged, he would always be content with that cycle. Why? Koi knows he's special to the occultist. Koi know's the look in someone's eyes when they've fallen in love. Koi knew he had received Brody's favor.
