"Whoa! So you guys are on like a secret mission?"

"Yeah, we are."

Uzumaki Naruto had woken up, his body already feeling a hundred times better after Hinata's healing, though it did take some chakra from her. The Hyuga decided to take a small nap.

But Uchiha Izumi was a problem.

The brat wasn't listening.

"Don't listen to their gibberish kid! Just come to me!" she exclaimed from across the room, squirming in her ropes.

Sasuke sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I have to deal with two kids now," he muttered.

Naruto just stuck out a tongue at the girl, "Meh! I'm not listening to you'dattebayo!"

Izumi breathed heavily, "You annoying brat." The boy she saw in the alleyway was definitely not this kid. His looks definitely contrasted with the bright personality this brat had.

"I don't care," Naruto replied, folding his hands and turning his back to the girl. Izumi had an irked look on her face.

Sasuke looked at their small conversation, amused.

"Anyway," Naruto turned to the black-haired boy. "When can I leave?"

"Ah, yes. You can leave now if you wanted to, but I'm sure you wouldn't leave after hearing about the secret mission." The Uchiha emphasized the "Secret Mission" part more. The Uzumaki would very much be interested.

Naruto looked conflicted, "Ehhh, you can't make me choose like that! I want to eat ramen. I'm hungry."

"Ramen? I think we have some in this place." Sasuke said as he got up from his cushion. While he went to search in the cupboards, Naruto quietly made his way to the sleeping Hyuga.

"I've never seen eyes like this before," Naruto muttered under his breath, marveling at the stunning pairs of jewels he saw in the Hyuga girl.

"Really?"

Hinata's eyes snapped wide open, meeting with bright blue eyes. Naruto exclaimed in surprise, tumbling down the small bed.

"Ow!"

Hinata laughed. "Are you fine, Naruto-kun?"

"So not fine," Naruto grumbled, massaging his head. "That hurt."

"I'm sorry for surprising you."

"Ah no, that's fine!" the Uzumaki shook his head profusely, waving his hands.

"Oi, Naruto! We've got only one cup left!"

Naruto's head perked up at the mention of ramen, his face suddenly brightening.

"Coming!"

And it was like that whole day. Naruto ate ramen, Hinata woke up, and Izumi just listened to the bizarre conversation.

"So maybe we should follow them. If we try to mask our chakra, I think it will work."

Naruto took in a breath, opening his mouth to speak but promptly shut himself. He knew that his dumb brain couldn't handle such intelligence.

"What about explaining? Shisui-san is an intelligent guy." Hinata asked, raising a hand as if she were in class.

"That's what I'm thinking about too," Sasuke said, his eyebrows furrowed in concentration.

"Who are you kids to be talking about Shisui-san and Fugaku-sama so freely!!" Izumi demanded, so confused as to what was happening.

Sasuke had a deadpan look on his face. "I'm his son."

"You aren't!" Izumi shot back. "Sasuke-kun is a sweet boy! He wouldn't even—"

Izumi cut herself off as the boy got up and approached her. For some reason, she was feeling intimidated by the Sasuke-imposter.

"Izumi-san. I think I should explain it to you properly."

'Mangekyou Sharingan!'

Izumi shut her eyes close, not wanting to get caught in the genjutsu. But it was too late. Before she knew it, she saw the flowery patterns of the infamous Mangekyou. She could feel her connection to the world slowly fading away as she dreamt away.

It was a cold, cold nightmare.

Naruto just stared at the boy who was getting treated by the dark-haired girl. He could see the blood seeping out the bandage and wondered what had happened.

"Don't strain yourself too much, Sasuke," Hinata said as she gently wiped away the blood from the eyes. Sasuke just hummed in reply.

'This is too much for this weak body.' Sasuke thought, looking at his tiny, soft hands.

"This is very annoying. My Rinnegan is gone," the Uchiha muttered under his breath. "And so is my trained body."

"We'll have to work hard," Hinata commented, throwing the tissues in the dustbin. She took a look at the fallen Uchiha, her eyes looking at Izumi guiltily.

"Did you make it painful?" she asked after a pregnant interval of silence. Sasuke thought of an appropriate answer.

"I made it...enough," he paused. "Just enough to know what Izumi is getting involved in."

"What are you guys talking about'dattebayo? I don't understand." Naruto tilted his head, looking like a cute puppy.

'Cute.' Hinata thought as a red blush spread over her face. At least she didn't faint every time Naruto came close to her.

"Something you wouldn't understand now," Sasuke said, sitting next to the Uzumaki.

"Why not?" Naruto pouted, puffing his cheeks.

Sasuke looked at Naruto strangely.

But soon, a smile made its way to his face.

"Just because."
