My name is y/n and I'm 11. I live in a peaceful farm in the land of rice patties. We live with lots of dogs and live far away from any town. We survive on what we grow here and whenever we need something from a town someone from my family will have to go to town which is a two day walk. My family has 5 other members. My mother and father, Haruto and Kana, my younger sisters, and my older brother Touma. We have a pretty peaceful life and I love my family.

__

"Y/n" mom called from the house, "Can you go to town and get new ink and paper?"

"Yea" I called back from where I was sitting on the back porch. "How much do you want me to get"

"A lot" she said stepping out onto the porch "We need enough for about 4 or 5 months"

"Okay", I say standing up.

"I know that you're still young but I really need ink and paper. Your sisters are only 6 and Touma is away in a conference with the futile lord-"

"It's okay mom. I've been there before I'll be fine." I say and smile reassuringly.

Mom smilies back at me. "Good Girl. I'll go put some food together for the trip" she says and goes inside.

After we get all the things I need ready I say goodbye and start walking.

(Time skip)

As I'm walking home with my bags full of supplies I see smoke coming from the direction of my house. I run as fast as I can still carrying the bags. Because it could be something in the fields not our house. The house that I've lived in and that my grandma has lived in. As I get closer I see it and my heart drops. My house is on fire along with the fields around it. I drop the bags and run around looking for my family.

"Mom! Dad!" I yell, "Haruto! Kana!" I run to the barn and see bodies. Covered in cuts and blood. "NO!" I scream and knell next to them putting my head to their hearts to see if they're still alive. I cry and realize that they're all dead. I sob curling up against mom's body. Eventually falling asleep.

I feel someone shaking me and it wakes me up. I open my eyes to see a silver haired man with a mask and a leaf village headband.

"Hey. Are you alright?" He says and puts me into a sitting position.

I look at him and start to cry again. Remembering that my family is dead and my home is gone. I hug him around the neck and cry into his shoulder. "They're all gone" I sob.

I feel a hand rubbing my back and it calms me down. It reminds me of what Tomua would do whenever I would get upset. I pass out while still clinging to the the shinobi.

"What's wrong?" Touma asked me. While I was sitting crying out by our barn.

"The horse kicked me! And now I'm bleeding." I said though my tears. There was a big gash on my thigh with blood coming out of it.

"Oh no" he said. Sitting down next to me. "Let's get that cleaned up" He led me back to the house and took me to the bathroom. And sat me down on the cabinet. "This is gonna hurt a bit." He said grabbing a needle and thread from a box. He started to sew up my wound and I cried even more. When he finished he sat down next to me on the cabinet and started rubbing my back to make me feel better. And it worked. When I stopped crying he said, "Is there anything I can do?"

"Ice Cream." I say and smile though my tear stained face.

"Okay!" Touma says and gets down. gesturing for my to get on his shoulders. After I get on he stands up and says "Off to Ice cream!" And runs though the house out to get ice cream from an outside freezer.
