Written in 2021, set at the end of summer 2025.
Changes from reality:
1) Made Yuzu slightly younger here than how old he would be in 2025 2) Will change the name of his mum - not yet decided on the name - and their relationship will not be great/she won't be as supportive as she is irl. Just a very traditional Japanese lady.
Two main OCs - Sophie and Akira.
They communicate with each other in English but when around Japanese people, they speak Japanese. I won't be changing it to cursive as I assume it will be pretty obvious anyway.

Akira, 9 years old - he is a kid, so not gonna insert any images here for obvs reasons. So just imagine any 9yr old Japanese boy. (And if any of you also have an issue guessing kids ages like me.... the kid playing Young Sheldon from that TV show was supposed to be 9, so just for an example)
Yuzuru Hanyu - this fic is set in the future when he is 29 years old, won 3 Olympic Golds (cause he is awesome). Spends most of the year in Toronto as one of the coaches under Brian Orser.

If you read my other fics, then I guess you know you can expect a lot of drama :))))
But in this one, I will try to avoid smut. However, I still consider it a big part of character development, and since my fics are solely focused on relationships, I may change my mind along the way.
The first chapter is switching between the points of view of both Sophie and Akira to give you a quick feel for the characters, their daily routines, and their relationship dynamic. The other chapters will be then just from one POV or clearly separated.
Also unlike my other yuzufics, the chapters here will be much longer, so the updates will be also much slower.
