For the upcoming days, Sophie was doing her best to keep her distance from Yuzuru as if he would be coming down with the plague.
The reality was, he was simply unbearable, constantly staring at her as if he believed she would just snap any moment, throw her shirt into the distance, and jump around his neck.
No matter how many headshakes, eye-rolls, and sometimes even middle fingers she sent his direction, he was still flashing smiles left and right.
Even catching once Nari pretending to throw up behind his back when he was especially giddy and yet he only laughed it off.

He was back at the rink right on Monday and so throughout the week, their encounters were unavoidable. Driving him with Aki in the morning to the rink, sitting through their lessons, a few hours break from him while Aki was in school, and then back to the rink and home.
And there it was the worst part because Akira wanted to be constantly just in his room, leaving them alone and Sophie had no doubts it is one of his many attempts to put her and Yuzuru together.

"That wasn't a bad movie," Yuzuru said when they finished watching a random one on Netflix and as so many times that week, he put his arm behind her on the sofa, "what do you think?"

"I think that I am going to bed," Sophie said and stood up, not even turning her head to him.

"It's 8 pm!" he exclaimed and pulled on her hand to make her sit back down next to him.

"So what," she huffed and got up again, "I can go to bed whenever I like."

"What about Aki?" he whined though it was clear it was the last thing on his mind, "you won't even give him a good night?"

"Of course I will!" she exclaimed and stepped over his outstretched legs that were blocking her way, "I am going to take a shower and before I am out, it will be his bedtime."

Yuzuru sighed in response but didn't say anything and Sophie strode quickly into the bathroom, hating herself for having more and more trouble resisting him.
She tried to blame it on the simple fact she just went a very long time without. Not having time to meet more people and get close with anyone who she would be attracted to enough to take it further, even just for a one-night stand. And Yuzuru was simply there, available and, to her great dismay, irresistibly charming.

She stayed in the shower as long as she could, having that one place in the flat where he could not follow after her, racking her head with what to do about him.
Once out and in her pajamas, she strode back into the living room with determination, head held high.

"Yuzu," she said, crossing her arms on her chest, "you seem to be doing much better since you are back at the rink, so I believe you should go back home after this weekend."

"Oh," he said with clear disappointment and she felt a little sting of guilt in her chest, "I came back so soon because it's just several days before the Olys, Sophie. I am still a coach even when I can't jump and I need to be there for the guys, even if I just stand there, giving instructions."

"So it still hurts?" she asked, her voice softening.

"Yeah," he replied, his hand going slowly up over his chest, "it does."

"Alright then," she said raising her chin, "you can stay longer, but what a shame, just when I wanted to have sex with you it turns out you are too hurt to ---"

"No!" he exclaimed and shot up from the sofa, striding towards her, "it's not THAT bad, Sophie-chan. And even the doctor said that sex is okay, I just can't lift heavy things but otherwise, I am fine!"

"Then you are going home on Sunday."

She said resolutely and before he made it all the way to her she turned around, going to Akira's room to give him a good night and not giving Yuzuru another look.
When she came back, he was still in the shower and she used the moment to go to bed without any more exposure to him but knowing very well it won't last for long.
