y/n's pov :
we were back on the plane, Louis besides me of course because of the whole partner thing. I'm starting to think our teachers take the pair thing to a whole new level. I guess so. though, i couldn't take it. i wanted to confront louis because apparently, the tension between us right now was too much for me to handle. i broke the silence,"sooo," i said dragging the 'o', "you really don't remember what happened at the party?"
"uhm" he hesitated before continuing "do you?"
"i guess. i mean yeah i was pretty drunk but i do remember what happened" my eyes softened as my hands reached out to grab his.
him and i were both shocked at the sudden boldness bursting through me, but whatever it was, i was loving it.
"so you remember us making out?" he smirked,
sheesh.
"oh so you do remember too? you bloody liar" i put emphasis on the 'do' i playfully hit his shoulder and made a fake gasping sound and burst out laughing sheepishly.
"to be honest you were pretty bad at it" he chuckled,
"you sure know how to make a girl swoon partridge" i made a sarcastic remark.
"you wanna try again and see if im just as bad?" he caught me by surprise with his last words before he leaned in and connected his lips with mine as if two puzzle pieces fitting perfectly together. i closed my eyes, my hand reached up to cup his face as i grasped every bit of this moment and drilled it into a memory i would never want to forget.
we talked and talked for what felt like an eternity and to be honest, it had been so long, like i felt finally free. relieved. we talked about why we lied about not remembering the party scene, and the whole crush on your bestfriend thing and eventually he ended up falling asleep on my shoulder.
i took this as an opportunity to adore the way he looked. the way his perfectly messy curls landed on his god complexion face. he looked like a greek god, and i cherished him for it. he even looked surprisingly calming to look at. it was as if he sucked away all of my anxiety, and panic, flooding my thoughts with joy. joy to be here with him, in this moment.
I was snapped out of my thoughts by my phone ringing. i reached out to my back pocket and took out my phone hurriedly before waking louis up. he just shrugged it off, getting comfortable on my shoulder again. the plane had leveled perfectly in the sky and phone calls were now allowed. it was my mum .that's weird. i furrowed my eyebrows at my screen. she only usually texts. I guessed it was important, I told Louis to move but because of him being asleep, I slowly moved past him and to the washroom to pick up the phone, being careful to not wake him up in the process.
"mom? what's up, i'm on the plane home right now"
"hello darling, I wanted to talk to you about something important" her chic voice spoke from the other side of the call.
"okay, what is it?" I asked with a sense of urgency, hundreds of possibilities flooded through my mind to figure out what could possibly be that important.
