"Can you come over and sleep at my house tonight?"

"Wait is something wrong?"

[Shinobu]
"Kanao and Kanae keep on pestering me to call you to come over for a sleepover because they miss you a lot"

[Y/n]
"Awww I miss them too"

"So I'm going straight to your house after school and we're going to school together tomorrow?"

[Shinobu]
"Yep!"

[Y/n]
"Sweet"

"See you at school then bae!"

[Shinobu]
"See ya!"

The doorknob made a clicking noise when Shinobu unlocked the door. As she swung open the door, two pairs of purple and pale purple eyes peered at her and [Y/n].

Immediately, [Y/n] was tackled. The floor thundered when Kanao and Kanae rushed towards [Y/n] to embrace her in a tight hug.

"[Y/n] nee-chan!" Kanao exclaimed and snaked her arms around [Y/n]'s waist.

"Nee-chan, you're home early today?" Shinobu asked Kanae as she closed the door.

"My lecture ended early today. Plus, I want to see [Y/n] too!" Messy strands of [hair colour] hair tickled Kanae when she had nuzzled her chin into [Y/n]'s head.

"Guys, y'all are suffocating me," [Y/n] squeaked, she cordially returned their affectionate hug.

Both Kanao and Kanae's grip on [Y/n] did temporarily loosen, only for them to sneakily hook their arms with [Y/n]'s and walked with her as if she didn't notice their sly actions.

"So how's it been with y'all's parents?" [Y/n] asked, her observant [eye colour] eyes glanced over the family portrait that was displayed on the wall. In the picture, Shinobu, Kanao and Kanae clung to their parents. All of them smiled with eyes that crinkled with mirth. [Y/n] was sure that the youthful look Shinobu's parents had were now soiled with heavy eyebags and stressed bloodshot eyes.

"They've been really busy at the hospital." For a moment, Shinobu's usual happy facade dropped, instead a crestfallen look cast over her face. "But it's okay. We have each other and you to keep us company!"
