𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐀:
Alisa was sitting in front of the window in her bedroom, with a book in her hand. She had decided to reject her father's request for her to join him and her younger brothers for dinner in the dining room. They were unrealistic, her father's expectations. She adored him and respected him more than any other human being on the planet, but for the first time, in her entire life, she didn't know how to face him.
Two hours ago, she returned to her bedroom from his study, and since then, she hadn't written as much as a single letter on the notepad resting on her desk. She'd hoped to have revised, perhaps. But there was a lot more on her mind, matters that were much more important, than revising was to her.
Alisa had realised the decision that she was responsible to make would be extremely difficult, that was an evident fact. She knew that if she were to decline, the consequences would be difficult for her family to bare.
Her declination was going to cause two rifts. One would be between her father and Daniyal. A rift that could severely impact her father's business, potentially to the point where returning from a rift wouldn't be possible. The second could lead to the end of a lifelong friendship between Armaan and Shehryar. Armaan was closer to Shehryar than a blood brother, and he was the only one that Armaan would openly speak to. What would happen if Armaan lost that? All because of Alisa.
She sat and considered her options carefully. She was in no rush to make up her mind, but she knew that the sooner she did, the sooner the weight would be lifted off of her shoulders. Alisa closed the book that she had supposedly been reading and placed it on the bookshelf, making sure it was sitting between two of the other books by the same author. She then sat down in front of her computer, and opened a spreadsheet to create a table of pros and cons.

Alisa thought at length about Shehryar. He had always been a good friend to her, and he would always have her back, especially after everything that happened to Armaan. He was often the person that Alisa went to when she needed something from Armaan.
Sherry was a great guy, he was a good person, genuinely. Alisa couldn't think of a single negative or bad thing about him. Yes, he was always partying but he didn't drink or take drugs. He didn't get caught up in anything bad. He didn't date either, and she'd never seen him with a woman or heard of him with any girls. If nothing else, he was an ideal guy who was respectable, had a good attitude and was good looking. He was very good looking.
