(Y/N) POV

"Hey Y/N, wake up!" I am shook awake

"Why?" I begin to open my eyes but it takes a moment because the person who woke me up turned on the lights, "Who are you and why are you here?"

Wow Y/N, just because I woke you up doesn't give you the right to forget who I am," I remember the voice in an instant, it was Aris. Aris has been living here the longest (except for me) out of all the maze kids.

"How'd you get in here?"

"The vents, duh," Oh yeah, I almost forgot about those. That was the place me and Aris met

...Memory...

I ripped of the gate to the vent, I couldn't be in my room and longer. I've been shut up in this room for three days all alone, except for the occasional visit form Rat Man, I wanted out. So I left.

I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going, and I was severely struggling to make the turns. But the next thing I know I was head butted by someone else in the vents.

"Dang that hurt!" The other person said, "What are you doing here?"

"I could ask the same for you," I responded. I really didn't have time to stop and have a conversation, I needed to leave before I got caught.

"Then I guess we're at an impasse," he mutters, still rubbing his head from the head but.

"I guess we are," I try to move around him but he doesn't move out of the way. "Excuse me."

"Well it was nice to meet you" he smiled and held out his hand, my names Aris."

I shook his hand and gave a little smile in return, "Y/N"

After a that we headed out separate ways, and I continued crawling through the vents. What a weird place to meet someone.
..........

I'm sad to say, but is probably was obvious, that my escape was a fail. I was found by a guard seconds after I left the vent. I didn't see Aris again until a couple days later at lunch, but we never talked much. So it was surprising to see him waking me up this morning.

"Is there a reason you here, Aris?" I questioned.

"Yeah there is," I waited for him to continue. "I've seen you met the new kids here."

"Yes I did," I was confused about why Aris broke into my room to talk about the new kids.

"I think they might be our ticket out of this place," this immediately brought a smile to my face. Aris and I didn't always get along, but we did have a mutual goal, getting the hell out of this place. Aris wanted to leave this place because he didn't trust it, I wanted to leave because I wanted to be free. "They don't trust the people here and there looking for a way out!" He smiled.

"How do you know this?"

"I broke into their room just like I did to you," I fell over laughing.

"Did they appreciate you unexpected visit as much as I did?"

"Not as much as you," he smiled, "one of them wanted to punch me in the face." It was probably Minho.

"Why did you have to wake me up in the middle of the night, though," I asked. I was kind of falling asleep.

Aris smile grew 10 times bigger, "because we're escaping right now." He said, "the others are working on saving a girl named Teresa."

"Newt mentioned her yesterday at lunch." I was happy then found her, "that group didn't seem like the people to leave a person behind."
