"Please, let everything go well" I silently prayed as I watched our soldiers place the preliminary defenses in front of Winterfell's walls. The army of the Dead was a few miles away from ours and we had to let them be close enough in order for the traps we had prepared to work. "We are almost there" Arya said, her gaze fixed on the army in front of us. Finally, after what had seemed an eternity, the Dead army launched themselves towards our walls only to be impaled on the pikes we had placed. "READY?" I yelled to the archers on the walls without turning my gaze from our enemies. "NOW!" I ordered when I saw the Dead close enough to our walls and the archers shoot arrows made of Dragon-glass on them. Luckily for us, we managed to strike down many members of the horrific army; trouble was there were too many of them and our army, despite the Dothraki and the Unsullied, was a small one. Deciding I needed to unleash our best resource, I ran towards Rhaegal who was standing in the yard inside the castle and mounted on him. "GO RHAEGAL, OUR FORCES NEED US!" I yelled and the dragon emitted a roar before launching itself in the open air. As soon as we were on top of the Dead army, Rhaegal started to incinerate the army. "This is it" I thought in satisfaction as I watched the Dead soldiers arresting their march. My satisfaction however was destined to last for only a few seconds since I saw the army making advance an enormous crossbow. "RHAEGAL, LET'S GET AWAY FROM HERE, NOW!" I yelled and the dragoon immediately turned his back before arrows coming from the enemy could injure him. I watched in horror as the enemy started to place several stairs on Winterfell's walls in order to climb on top of it. "We are doomed if they penetrate in the castle" I thought and without further delay, I encouraged Rhaegal to prevent the enemy from further advancing by destroying their stairs. A roar coming from behind made me turn my head back and I saw Drogon launching a fire attack on our enemies. "DROGON, PLEASE, BE CAREFUL!" I thought as I watched the dragon engulfing in flames the army of the Dead. A cry coming from Winterfell forced me to focus my attention back to the castle and I watched in horror as the enemy climbed on top of the walls and slaughtered our soldiers. "RHAEGAL, LET ME LAND THERE!" I asked the dragon and the enormous beast did as I asked him, landing in Winterfell's courtyard. "Destroy our enemy as soon as it approaches" I instructed him, hoping he could understand me and without a moment of delay, I launched myself into the battle around me, sword drawn.
"WE CAN'T HOLD THEM FOR TOO LONG JON!" Arya screamed as we desperately tried to push the Dead soldiers away from Winterfell. "THAT'S WHY WE HAVE TWO DRAGONS ARYA!" I retorted as I decapitated another soldier "AS LONG AS THE DRAGONS ARE ALIVE, WE HAVE A CHANCE TO SURV......". A roar coming from outside the walls interrupted me. Knowing Rhaegal was just above our courtyard, busy at incinerating the Dead present in the castle, I turned my head only to see a white figure falling from Drogon. "DANY, NOOOO!!!!!" I shouted as I watched her falling on the battlefield. I wanted to check on her before it was too late but other Dead soldiers surrounded me, menacing to kill me with their weapons. "Now I had enough of all of you" I snarled and launched myself against the enemy, determined to put an end to the fight as fast as I could. My efforts seemed to have been reworded after several minutes of fighting because the Dead where backing again from the courtyard. "YES" I gloated as I marched against them, sword at the ready "GO AWAY BEF....". Something heavy landed, making everyone falling. With some difficulty, I slowly stood up only to come face to face with none than a Dead version Vyserion. "JON!" Arya yelled, horror printed on her face "OUT OF THE WAY BEF....". Vyserion's tale menacing to hit her, forced the girl I had always assumed to be my natural sister to dodge in order to avoid it. "ARYA, GO TO DAENERYS!" I yelled as I desperately did my best to avoid the dragoon's fire attacks. The dragoon tried to attack me again but was prevented from doing so by Rhaegal who hit him with its tail. Vyserion however quickly recovered from the attack and with a laud roar, proceeded to attack his brother. "RHAEGAL NOOOO!!!!" I screamed, and before Viserion could injure him, I collected a spear which laid on the ground and throw it towards the dead-dragon. The spear hit Vyserion but unfortunately for me, it hit the muscular part of the beast's body. Knowing I had to save Rhaegal from certain death, I proceeded to collect another spear but just when I was about to throw it again, a sword thrown against me prevented me from striking again. After having successfully avoided the deadly strike, I focused my attention to the ground around me and was met by the Night King himself. "So, we meet again" I quietly said and I advanced towards the leader of the enemy's army. "JON, OUT OF THE WAY!" Arya yelled as she launched herself against the Night King, hoping to stab him at his back. Our nemesis however was too smart to be easily destroyed in this way and when he felt the point of the dragon glass knife on his back, he hit Arya with the spear he was holding without turning towards her. Arya fell on the ground and such was the impact of the attack that she lost her senses. "NOOO, ARYAAAA!!!!" I cried and made a move to reach her; however the throw of a spear from the Night King prevented me from doing so. My adversary immediately drew a sword and tried to kill me but I managed at the last second to parry the fatal blow by deflecting it with my own blade. Without turning our gazes from each other, we circled around Winterfell's courtyard waiting for the other to attack. Knowing the only way to save Daenerys, her children and our armies was to defeat the monster before me, I charged the horrific king in an attempt to decapitate me. The Night King however was too fast for me and easily evaded my strikes. "I have to destroy him" I thought, doing my best to keep the desperation I was feeling in that moment in check. The Night-King was relentless and soon I found myself backing towards the courtyard. A roar interrupted our duel and both of raised our gazes above only to find Rhaegal busy at biting Vyserion on its neck, as hard as he could. Deciding to put an end to the fight, I charged again against the Night King, hoping he was distracted enough to avoid my attack. My enemy saw me at the last second but this time however, he wasn't lucky enough since I managed to stab him with my sword on his shoulder. My enemy emitted a low hiss which lasted only a few seconds before yelling at the open sky. The yell was meant to be a signal for Viserion because I saw the Dead-dragon flying towards his master, Rhaegal chasing him. As soon as Viserion was close enough to the ground, the Night King jumped on his back in order to run away from me. "Oh no, I don't think so" I snarled and when Rhaegal landed in front of me a few seconds later, I climbed on his back as well. "GO RHAEGAL, AFTER THEM!" I shouted as Rhaegal emitted a roar before launching itself in the open air. Luckily for us, we managed to get close enough to Vyserion and the Night King again and when our enemies realized there was no way they could escape from us again, they charged us in an attempt to kill us in one strike. As the two beasts attempted to bite each other, I saw Drogon flying towards us in an attempt to help us in defeating our enemies. "DROGON NO!!!" I yelled "STAY WITH YOUR MOTHER, DON'T LEAVE HER ALONE!!!!". My words seemed to have been understood since I saw the dragon turning his back on us after a brief moment of hesitation. From Viserion's back, the Night King drew a small blade made of dragon glass and when he and Viserion were close enough to both me and Rhaegal, he threw it towards me. After having avoided it, I managed to catch with my hand the flying blade, and a smile appeared on my face when I formulated a plan to put an end to this fight once for good. "Rhaegal, fly with your wings covering your back" I instructed the dragon when it managed to fly away from Viserion's grasp. Rhaegal did as I asked him while remaining close enough to our enemies and when his wings covered his back, I jumped backwards. With some difficulty I climbed on top of Viserion's head and without wasting further time, I charged the Night King. My enemy desperately tried to defend himself with his hands but he was too slow and I stabbed his heart with the dragon glass blade he had thrown to me in order to kill me. Viserion roared when I stabbed his master with the blade and after having roared for several seconds in agony, he exploded. I fell in the open air when the dragon vanished and if it wasn't for Rhaegal who picked me up when he saw me, I would have certainly died. "This is it" I thought in amazement as Rhaegal took me back to Winterfell "We made it! I hope the Dead army will give up when it will see both its leader and his new pet dead".
