"Bitch" I angrily thought as I walked to the room in Dragonstone where we usually meet with Daenerys and her advisors. "If you think we are fools Cercei Lannister, you are gravely mistaken. The time when you make fun of the ones who try to believe you has ended". The memory of how Daenerys' second child had died in my dream kept tormenting me and I knew I had to find a way to protect the two dragons. "The sooner I assure their safety in battle, the better" I thought as I finally reached my destination. When I entered in the room I found Davos arguing with Sir Jorah. "What's wrong?" I asked when I joined them. "I was trying to convince Sir Jorah that we need to sail together if we want everyone to believe we are allies". "As I told you, we can't do this" Sir Jorah immediately retorted "If Daenerys sails with you, her life will be in danger. Who knows....."."Sir Jorah I understand your concern" Davos started again "But if we want to make the Northern people realize Jon and Daenerys are allies in these wars, they need to see them together. How do you think......". Davos was interrupted by the entrance of Daenerys and her maiden in the room. "Gentlemen" Daenerys started "The meeting with Cercei Lannister went well thanks to Tyrion". We all nodded and gave to Tyrion Lannister an appreciative look. "I think we need to decide our next step" Daenerys continued and turned to me "Do you have a plan?" she asked me. I silently came closer to the table in the center of the room and examined the map of Westeros which lied on it. "This is Kings Road, the path which brings to Winterfall" I started and showed it with my hand. "The Dothraki can take it and arrive to Winterfell within the fortnight if they ride hard". "What about the Unsullied?" Daenerys asked as she watched Westeros' map as well. "The Unsullied can sail to White Harbor" I answered "They will meet with the Dothraki at a specific point in Kings Road and then we will ride together till Winterfell". "Your grace" Sir Jorah said at this point "I think you should fly to Winterfell. If the Lannister send someone to kill you, you are doomed if you travel with the Northern army". "Your grace you should also consider that you need to show the Northern people you and Jon Snow are allies" Davos said "I think traveling with us and the Unsullied will be the best way to make everyone understand there is an alliance among Jon Snow and you". Daenerys stood in silence, watching intently the map of Westeros as she pondered bot Sir Jorah's and Davos' different advices. She finally rose her head and turned to me again. "What do you think of this?" she asked me. I sighed, wishing that for once people didn't need my advice to take a decision. "My advisor's suggestion is a wise one" I started "However, what Sir Jorah also said makes sense. It is dangerous if we travel together". "So what do you suggest?" Daenerys pressed me, watching me intensely. "I think you can travel with the Dothraki your Grace" I finally said. "I'll sail with the Unsullied and we will meet at Kings Road. After we have reunited again, we will ride together towards Winterfell. I think it is imperative we are seen together on the second part of our journey". My words seemed to produce quite an effect because Davos was looking me with a mixt of confusion while both Daenerys and Sir Jorah seemed to be surprised, especially Daenerys. "Very well" Daenerys said after a few moments of silence "If this is the best course of action, than we will proceed in this way". I tried to catch Daenerys' gaze but before I could do this, she immediately turned her back on me, making her way out of the room. "Your Grace?" I asked before she retired "May....I privately talk with both your handmaiden and Sir Jorah?". "Why?" Daenerys asked, turning towards me again "I mean...is it so important that you want to talk with them privately?". "I'm afraid so" I replied with a sigh, knowing there was no time to waste if I wanted to prevent the dream I had from occurring. Daenerys studied me for a few seconds, trying to understand why I wanted to speak with her handmaiden and advisor without her. "You may proceed Lord Snow" she finally said and left the room. "What can we do for you Lord Snow?" Daenerys' handmaiden started when everyone had left the meeting room. "What is your name again?" I asked her. "Missandei my Lord" Missandei answered. "Missandei" I repeated, remembering it immediately. "I...I need to ask you a favor, both of you". Missandei and Sir Jorah stood in front of me, waiting. "Do you...do you care about Daenerys?" I asked, unsure about how to formulate the question in another way. "We both care about her" Sir Jorah answered immediately. "I watched her growing up and I need to be always at her side". I nodded, knowing Sir Jorah was telling the truth. "The wars we are going to take part in will be very dangerous" I said "Daenerys...has already lost one of her children. I don't want to see her mourning again for the death of another one very close to her". I paused in order to choose my words carefully. "I...need both of you to survive. I don't want to see Daenerys mourning for either of you". "Lord Snow we promised our Queen we are going to protect her" Missandei said "If that means to sacrifice our lives than it is our duty to do so". "How do you think Daenerys will react if you die in front of her?" I asked to the girl in front of me "I saw her mourning her child. I don't want her to suffer another loss because of the Dead or Cercei Lannister". "Than what can we do?" Sir Jorah asked "I am a warrior so I should be the first one to sacrifice my life for my queen". "I'm not saying you have to violate your oath" I answered "I'm simply asking both of you to protect Daenerys in a way which doesn't expose you to death. Please, don't take unnecessary risks to protect the queen". Silence fell in the room, an heavy one. "Daenerys wants the Iron Throne" I started again "I don't want her to lose the ones she cares about to fulfill her dream. I want to see both of you at her side when she will sit on it". "I understand" Missandei replied smiling. "I promise you Lord Snow I will do my best to survive in these wars we are going to fight". "The same for me" Sir Jorah said "It won't be easy since I'm supposed to be on the battlefield but I'll do my best to survive till the end of the wars against the Dead and Cercei Lannister". "Thank you" I said with a small smile "Thank you for doing this. Daenerys is lucky to have people like you as her friends".
