3rd POV
"Guess I won't have to worry about you, gojo~sensei, kugisaki...and Maito." Maito felt a lump in his throat "N-no. Yuji we can still find a way to save you..." he smiled softly at Maito. "Live a long life." He said as he fell to the ground, he took his last breath. Maito immediately ran over to Itadori. He turned his body around and laid his head on his lap. "Yuji. Yuji this isn't funny. If your playing a prank on me right now, you better stop." Tears kept falling down his face and fushiguro just watched. He felt a pang in his chest. "YUJI THIS ISN'T FUNNY WAKE UP!" Maito started crying harshly.

"YUJI WAKE UP!" He yelled as he shook Itadori's lifeless body. And Itadori still didn't wake up...Maito eyes stayed wide as he started hyperventilating and then.

He screamed.

Fushiguro gritted his teeth a bit as he looked up so no tears would fall...the rain was so loud but all Maito heard was silence. The ringing in his ears were loud. And Maito was still screaming and he was screaming loud. The pain and broken sadness in his scream was very noticeable.

Maito was in his room. After that whole incident. Maito completely stopped talking, his eyes were dull. He doesn't eat a lot but now he's fully stopped eating. He can't help but feel like this was his fall. 'Gomen grandpa...I've failed to keep my promise...' Maito gripped his shoulders has he hugged his knees to his chest as he slowly felt the tear build up again in his eyes. Fushiguro gently knocked on maito's door before entering, Nobara followed behind. Fushiguro felt a pang in his chest along with Nobara. "Maito.." fushiguro spoke softly and Maito just stayed in the same position as he tried holding back the tears that were trying to escape his eyes. "Maito..." fushiguro called out again as he walked closer. Nobara walked over and sat on maito's bed and pulled him into a small hug. Fushiguro just pat his head, he's not used to comforting people. "Let's get you some fresh air...okay?" Nobara suggested and Maito just slowly nodded.

"If you encounter it, your choices are to either run or die. I warned them that fighting was absolutely not an option.." Kiyotaka spoke as he sweat dropped, explaining what happening back at the building. "It was intentional." Gojo spoke as he kept a stoic expression and Kiyotaka was taken back by that statement "huh? W-what do you mean?"

"There was a special grade. Sending first years to rescue five who may or may not be alive. Should be out of the question." Gojo scratched the back of his head as he sighed. "Besides yuji, I was the one who forced the issue and got his execution indefinitely suspended. Some higher-ups who didn't like that, took advantage of my absence and special grade. To tactfully dispose him." Kiyotaka trembled a bit as he covered his mouth with his hand, his eyebrows furrowed as he looked at the ground. "If the other two had also died. It'd be more harassment for me. And two birds with one stone for them." Kiyotaka uncovered his mouth "No, but.. no one expected it to become a special grade by the time the dispatched was issued!"
"Searching for someone to blame is just a pain." Gojo bluntly admitted. "Maybe I should just..kill all of the higher ups" gojo gritted his teeth a bit. Kiyotaka flinched back a bit as his eyes slowly widen.

Then a women walked in. "Your not usually not emotional." She hummed as she looked at the covered body and Kiyotaka immediately did a bow "it's got to see you, leiri~San!" She started twisting a strand of hair on her index finger. "Looks to me..like you've taken quite a liking to him.." gojo raised up his index finger "I've always been a nice guy who cares for my students." She hummed and she still played with her hair "don't torment lijchi too much." She chuckled quietly. "He's got it rough, stuck between us and the higher-ups" kiyotaka started blushing and getting all giddy because of the slight praise he received 'keep going keep going keep going'

"I do not care about a mans hardship." Gojo protested and the women still had a small smile "is that so?"  Kiyotaka was in pure bliss but quickly snapped back into reality. "So this is.." she removed the sheet over Itadori's lifeless body. He lied there with a hole in his chest. No sign of life what so ever. "Sukuna's vessel, huh?" She stared at him with a stoic cold expression "I can take him apart as I please, right?"

"Make sure to get good use out of him." Gojo explained and the women immediately responded. "Oh, I will. Who do you think I am?" She turned to look at gojo.

Cicadas could be heard outside. And the weather was so nice out...but it a pretty obvious bad day for the three. "Live a long life?" Nobara related the words spoken to her. The words yuji had said before dying. "Doesn't mean much when you go and die yourself." Maito gripped the sleeves of his kimono. He kept quiet..he wanted to speak but the lump in his throat was too heavy..he felt like if he even uttered a word he would break down crying like he did back at the prison. "Is this your first time having a partner die?" She asked fushiguro, Maito decided to just tune out the words she was saying. "First time..for one my age.." fushiguro glanced at Maito and then looked forward again. Sighing "but I'm pretty sure it's maito's first time watching his childhood best friend die.." Nobara glanced at Maito and saw how he was fully spaced out and was not listening to the conversation and sighed as well. "You seem to be taking it well...considering." She looked forward it's a stoic expression "same to you.." she turned her head to the side a bit "of course. I only knew him for about two weeks. I'm not a simple women who breaks. Down bawling when I guy I barely knew dies." She gritted her teeth a bit "jeez." Fushiguro glanced at Nobara and saw that her lips quivered, she was trying to hold back tears. And then he looked back at the ground. Maito slowly stopped spacing out and went back into reality. It was silent, but the silence was extremely loud. "It's hot...huh?" Maito nodded in agreement "yeah. Wonder if it's time for summer uniforms.." Maito nodded off a bit "tired.." he mumbled. Nobara glanced at him and gently pulled his head onto her shoulder "Hmm..you should rest.." Maito shook his head he was not super tired to where he needed rest. He was just emotionally tired. Footsteps could be heard.

"What's this?"
