Rumors say, that if driven by a breathtaking mermaid, moving your ship past coasts and dull ports, if your heart really is pure and just, you'll arrive at the island of Scale.
Known to be blessed by the Gods, this significant place was a home to righteous ancient rulers, favoured by the fairies and the Sun; and now their descendants, powerful noble men.
The island is built on the finance of trades and incomes. The luckiest get to walk through its main port, taste the finest of goods and encounter the most outstanding characters. It's full of mysteries and surprises, yet grasping your attention to get lost between its small rocked paths, sliding between pubs and fancy hotels as you hold the hand of another. It's eh...
...You know what, forget it.
This islands sucks.
''This is too cheesy, even for me...!''
He frowned.
''Get it together Klavier, do not disappoint him again.''
Klavier Gavin. A man born so lucky it's sick, and he knows it. Son of two, eh... dead merchants with a trading business that explodes with money, still, even after they were buried. How? His older brother and caretaker since his primary years, Kristoph, owns the whole damn thing. Klavier's ''precious'' older brother, is of high importance in the island, the greatest example of a young merchant. He always gets invited at parties, he always wins over the best deals and he always successes against his competitors.
And then there's his little brother. Klavier, as we mentioned, is the... lucky one? Everyone born with such gorgeous features would be considered lucky. His hair, rich blond and wavy are a perfect match with his blue eyes and tanned skin. Apart from being attractive, Klavier has other characteristics that surpass Kristoph... Well eh... sort of. Let's see. He is expressive - always smiling or smirking-, has a heart of gold, and (what a surprise) is also flirtatious as hell. He always gets the girl...or guy-
And despite all that he still is swallowed behind Kristoph's shadow. Because Klavier is not successful enough. And not because he is bad at marketing; he has tried numerous times to understand the business industry, but it never worked out. He fancies himself a .... Traveler.
''Okay, let's get back on track. How do I convince sir Guy Eldoon to turn his restaurant into a hotel? Perfect. Hm... Ga H-''
''Oh, sorry darling, did I wake you?''
I almost had a hard attack, don't people know how to knock???
''No no, I was already awake Mrs. Crescend! You just surprised me a bit, that's all.''
''That's a relief. Your brother had left this note for you at the kitchen counter this morning.''
Oh no.
''Oh, he did?'' Klavier exclaimed, as he unfolded the yellow note in his hands, passed on by the old housekeeper. His eye's cores followed each word, which were written down so graciously and carefully.
He is such a show off.
''Anything else I can do for you sir?''
I forgot she was still standing by the doorway...
''No, thank you, I'll handle it from here. ''
As the boy made sure his room's door was shut closed, hearing the steps from the hallway slowly fading, he let out a sigh. After moving away his hair from the front of his eyes, he lay loosely at the side of his bed, stretching his arm straight, holding the paper above his eyes.
