My POV:
Just then the door opened revealing my best friends, my BFF Basil Yorke and his brother Adam Yorke. "There you are, we have been looking everywhere!" Basil said breathlessly. "Sorry! We were listening to one of Godfather's stories, but we only heard the first part of the story. Maybe lost track of time as well." I said, rubbing the back of my neck with a nervous grin. "What was the story about?" Adam asked curiously. "Well, the story is about a Nutcracker Prince and a Nutcracker Soldier," Godfather replied merrily. "Oh, look at the time! We have to go. Bye, Godfather, bye Emma! Thank you for the story!" I smiled while grabbing my coat and scarf, both a pretty light blue. "Bye, my dears, bye Landen! I'll see you at the party tonight." Godfather called, waving his goodbye. "B-Bye Valerie, bye Landen, bye Alora, see you later...!" Emma called out from the back.

As we walked out of the toy store, the cold air tickled our faces. I pulled my scarf closer to me, Alora wore this dark pink hoodie that matched her dark pink wool dress, Landen wore his green thick hoodie that has a mask, Basil wore a black cloak over a red suit, with black pants, leather boots lined on the inside with fur, and wool gloves and Adam wore something like Landen but a different color.

We walked to our house to help decorate for the party. When we got to our house our mother was at the door waiting for us "Where have you been? We have been waiting for you to get back!" our mother said with a small smile on her face, "Sorry. You know us, we lose track of time when it comes to one of Godfather's stories." I started grinning.

"Alright now come on we have to get ready for the party, oh, and your cousins are here to help put up the decorations. When you get changed!" my mother said, chuckling a little bit.

Landen and I went to our rooms to get dressed for the party tonight but Alora came to my room to help me put my dress on, "There we go now! You look amazing!" Alora said as I looked in the mirror with Alora. I wore a light blue dress with darker blue fuzz at the end of the dress and arms, short black leggings, and a pair of light blue fuzzy boots. After I looked in the mirror Alora and I went down to help put up the decorations the best that we could while the guests were arriving on their own time. I was either hanging out with my friends and best-ever cousins Alora and Jocie or helping my mother in the kitchen.

All of a sudden the lights went out! Everyone besides my friends, cousins, and I started freaking out. We were trying to find the lights till they came back on. I saw Godfather having his dramatic entrance, everyone clapped and all the kids ran over to Godfather.

"Well, well, well, I believe we made it at the right moment!" Godfather said with the face-eaten grin he wears. Godfather looked through the party till he saw Alora and my face. "Hey Valerie, Alora could you come and help me with passing out the gifts please?" Godfather called out to us, nodded, and ran over to him, then we all started to pass out the gifts one by one till there were none.

"I think that was the final gift, Godfather." Alora and I said with empty bags in our hands. "Oh but there are three more gifts I have for you, Alora, and Emma," Godfather said cheerfully, revealing three more gifts from his bag. "Open them, I want to see your faces when you see them!" Godfather said as he smiled, when Emma opened her gift she had stars in her eyes but she was very happy. "O-Oh thank you, Godfather!" Emma squealed happily while jumping into Godfather's arms. "You are welcome my dear, Valerie, Alora, go ahead and open yours," Godfather said, smiling brightly.

Alora and I opened our gifts slowly and carefully when we finally opened our gifts we saw the Nutcracker Prince and Soldier. We carefully picked them up, tracing over their wooden faces. "Wow, Godfather?" we asked at the same time, trying to see if we were dreaming "When the two of you saw them in my store with stars in your eyes, I believed you both would take good care of these nutcrackers," Godfather stated with a soft smile.

"Thank you, Godfather," Alora and I said, smiling brighter than ever before. We gently took the nutcracker prince and nutcracker soldier out of their boxes. "You're welcome my dears." Godfather said "We have a gift for you as well. We just left it in my room. We'll be right back!" Alora and I say heading up the stairs slowly looking at the Nutcracker Prince and Soldier instead of looking up the stairs. Towards the top of the steps, my younger brother Bentley and our younger cousin Sawyer were fooling around without paying attention to the things around them. They wanted to have a little race to see who can reach the bottom of the stairs faster. The loser was a rotten egg.

"On your mark!" Sawyer said as his hand was raised while Alora and I were staring at nutcracker Prince Alexander and Soldier Callan. "Get set!" Bentley said getting close to the ground we were almost to the top, when we finally got to the top of the stairs we heard "Go!" and all of a sudden Alora and I were knocked to the ground and our nutcrackers flew out our hands. We didn't know what happened to them after they flew.

"Are you alright my dear?" Godfather asked while helping us up "Yeah we're alright just have a sore head. " I say, as we rubbed our heads till we realized that Nutcracker Prince Alexander and Nutcracker Soldier Callan weren't in our hands anymore "Where... did they go...?" Alora and I mumble to ourselves looking all around us to find Nutcracker Prince Alexander and Soldier Callan "Ummmm... Valerie... Alora..." Jocie and Jacey said shakily as we looked at them to find Nutcracker Prince Alexander's left arm was broken off from his body and Nutcracker Soldier Callan's right leg was broken off as well. "Oh no..." Alora and I say, trying not to cry "Here my dear, I have some tools the two of you can borrow to fix them." Godfather said handing me the tools in a small bag while smiling.

"Thank you, Godfather, you enjoy the party. We'll be back down with the gifts after I fix the nutcrackers. Come on Alora." I said, walking to my room, my room has light blue walls, red curtains, and a wolf bed sheet. After I closed the door behind us, we walked over to my bed and gently laid Nutcracker Prince Alexander and Nutcracker Soldier Callan onto it. I pull out the tools I'll be needing to fix them with. After about 20 min of carefully fixing Prince Alexander's arm and Soldier Callan's leg, I wrapped Prince Alexander's arm up with a cloth-like sling and carefully handed Alora Soldier Callan.

"There you go, good as new!" I said, kissing my nutcracker on his cheek, "Thank you so much, Valerie!" Alora said, kissing her nutcracker on his cheek. We failed to notice them blushing, "Let's go and hand these gifts!" I exclaimed, grabbing Nutcracker Prince Alexander, as Alora grabbed Nutcracker Soldier Callan, then the gifts. Suddenly we heard a knock on my door "Miss Valerie, miss Alora, everyone is waiting for the two of you." one of the maids said, "Oh Ok we're coming, Winter." I said, opening my door "Hello miss Valerie, miss Alora, I love your dresses!" Winter said, smiling sweetly at us "Thank you! We love your dress too!" Alora and I said, smiling brightly "Let's go and have fun at the party!" Winter said, grabbing mine and Alora's arms and dragging us down the stairs. I giggle in the background as Alora looks at me nervously, "Hey Alora I'm right here if you need me." I said, so she only heard me. "Thank you, Valerie," Alora said, somewhat feeling better.

After the party and family left for the night. Basil, Alora, and I all sat on the couch and talked till the grandfather clock struck midnight, we closed our eyes and were falling asleep. That is when the magic started to happen.
