We Fell for a Prince and Nutcracker Soldier

Chapter 4: Magic World?

3rd POV:
Nutcracker Prince Alexander and Nutcracker Soldier Callan blocked most swings coming towards them from mouse king Reed and henchman Oliver Niles.

Clinging and Clanging of swords could be heard in the middle of the room. More and more mice kept coming at them, the mice were beginning to surround Prince Alexander, Soldier Callan, Valerie, Basil, and Alora. Valerie turned her head to look behind them and looked up at the garland getting an idea.

"Guys start climbing up the garland!" Valerie yelled, Alora and Basil started climbing up the garland with Valerie right behind them. Valerie saw Nutcracker Prince Alexander's sword get kicked out of his hand.  Valerie swung her legs making one of her shoes fly off and hitting Reed in the face as he fell, giving Prince Alexander enough time to grab his sword and cut Reed's arm but not to chop it off, just a cut to weaken the mouse king.

The mouse king screams in pain as blood starts to leak, Oliver runs over to Reed with a mouse soldier. Grabbing underneath Reed's arms and running back into the mouse hole as the other mice start to do the same. One by one the mice disappeared into the mouse hole from whence they came. Valerie, Alora, and Basil started climbing down the garland. As soon as the girls and the guy got down from the garland, they walked over to where Nutcracker Prince Alexander and Nutcracker Soldier Callan were standing.

Valerie's POV:
I looked up at The Nutcracker Prince, inspecting his arm. "I-I'm all right I promise." Nutcracker  Prince Alexander said, trying his hardest to hide the pain even though he was doing a bad job at it. I giggled, grabbing the bandages I had in my pocket. "Let me help with your arm," I said, with a gentle smile on my face. Nutcracker Prince Alexander hesitates but slowly brings his arm to me. I rewrapped Nutcracker Prince Alexander's arm noticing an embarrassing blush spread on his face. "There, all better," I said with a cute smile on my face while looking up at the nutcracker prince, all I could see was that his face was burning bright red. "Are you alright?" I asked, concerned. "Y-Yes, *Ahem* I mean yes, I'm fine." Nutcracker Prince Alexander said, looking away from me. "Otay!" I said, smiling brightly while looking back at Basil while smiling.

"Why were the mice in the Christmas tree, throwing stuff, breaking everything, and about to kiss Valerie and her cousin?" Basil asked, making Prince Alexander and Soldier Callan growl a little. "The mouse king is looking for something, something that no one knows about. It's harder to tell what he's looking for..." The Soldier said, glaring at the floor. "What is it that they are looking for?" I asked, turning my head to the side a little. "We don't know, all we know is that they can't get their hands on whatever it is." Nutcracker Soldier Callan said, shaking his head. "If it falls into the wrong hands the world will be in danger." Nutcracker Prince Alexander said, crossing his arms.

"Well, they were obviously looking for something here... What if they were looking for the two of you?" Basil asked, pointing at Alora and me. "W-What?" Alora and I said, confused. "What are you talking about?" Nutcracker Prince Alexander and Nutcracker Soldier Callan asked as Prince Alexander kept his arms crossed while Soldier Callan put his hands on his hips. "Think about it, they knew what house to go to, they knew the mouse holes, they flirted with the two of you, and were about to kiss you two." Basil said, "That's not enough proof that they were looking for us." I said, crossing my arms. "But your friend might be right. They knew we were here but didn't seem to care... But maybe they were looking for us?" Soldier Callan said as he put a hand under his chin.

"This is getting us nowhere," Alora said, getting frustrated, I sighed, looking over at the mouse hole. "Where does that mouse hole lead to?" I asked, gaining everyone's attention. "To our realm." Nutcracker Prince Alexander said, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Wait, we never properly said thank you." Prince Alexander said, "Oh yea." Soldier Callan said, looking toward us. "T-Thank us for what?" Alora and I asked, confused. Nutcracker Prince Alexander and Nutcracker Soldier Callan bowed in front of us. "I thank you for saving my life." Nutcracker Prince Alexander said, "We thank both of you for your superior nursing skills as well." Nutcracker Prince Alexander and Nutcracker Soldier Callan said in sync. They gently took one of our hands and kissed the back of it in a friendly way. I blushed from the embarrassment rising while Alora's blush was red. "Uh, you're welcome." Alora and I said, rubbing the back of our necks nervously.

3rd POV:
Just then two different screams made everyone jump. As everyone was trying to look for the source. Nutcracker Prince Alexander and Nutcracker Soldier Callan jumped in front of Alora, Basil, and Valerie, protectively. Valerie moved to the side of Nutcracker Prince Alexander to see her brother and Basil's brother Adam running towards them screaming for their lives. Valerie saw two mouse soldiers chasing Landen and Adam. "That's our brothers!" Valerie and Basil yelled in fear for their brothers' lives. The mouse soldiers were swinging their swords around trying to hit Landen and Adam. Landen tripped and tumbled to the floor, Adam stopped running, then turned around and ran back to help Landen. As Landen turned his head and Adam looked up to the mouse soldiers with fear shown all over their faces. Landen and Adam back away as the mouse soldiers step closer and closer.

Prince Alexander ran towards the scene ignoring everyone's cries for his name. The mouse soldiers held up their swords over their heads, Landen and Adam froze with so much fear that they couldn't move. The mouse soldiers brought their swords down but were stopped by Nutcracker Prince Alexander. The swords made a cling sound as Prince Alexander's sword was pointed at the mouse soldiers. The mouse soldiers stopped what they were doing, frozen with fear. Nutcracker Prince Alexander growled, glaring at the mouse soldiers. The mouse soldiers got angry and then tried to kill Prince Alexander. They lifted their swords in the air and saw seconds away from decapitating the prince. Alexander dodged the hit, as Landen and Adam charged away from the fight. Soldier Callan ran towards the scene to help his best friend.

As the mouse soldiers were distracted with trying to kill the Nutcracker Prince, Nutcracker Soldier Callan jumped in the air and cut the mouse soldiers, not deep cuts, just a cut down their arms. The mouse soldiers screamed in pain, dropping their swords. Blood was leaking from the mouse soldiers' arms, and with pain in their eyes, the mouse soldiers ran into the mouse hole. The nutcrackers put away their swords and turned back to the two girls and three guys. The nutcrackers smiled gently and walked back over to the small group. Valerie and Basil hugged their brothers after checking to see if they were alright. "I'm fine, Val/Basil" Landen and Adam said, enjoying the hugs and the worriedness of their siblings. "Good," Valerie and Basil said, smiling gently at their brothers. Valerie turned to the nutcrackers and pulled both of them in for a hug. "Thank you for saving our brothers!" Valerie said, letting a few tears slip.

Both nutcrackers blushed a tiny bit from both embarrassment and friendliness. "It was no problem. Like a favor for a favor," Nutcracker Prince Alexander said, smiling bashfully down at Valerie, (Yes, I'm short too many people.) The mouse hole caught my attention once again. "So, where does that mouse hole lead to?" Valerie asked, gaining everyone's attention. "That leads to the 6 kingdoms. That's where we came from, and we need to return home to the 6 kingdoms." Nutcracker Soldier Callan said, "Well then, would you mind changing us back before y'all go? Remember, we used to be taller." Alora said, standing on her tippy-toes trying to get taller.

"We're afraid only the Sugarplum Fairy and Sugarplum Princess can reverse Reed and Oliver's spells." Nutcracker Prince Alexander said, looking at us sadly. "The Sugarplum Fairy and Sugarplum Princess?" We asked, confused. "Yes, we've been trying to find them since Reed and Oliver turned us into nutcrackers." Nutcracker Callan said, sadly. "You mean the both of you used to be...?" Basil asked, "Not nutcrackers." Prince Alexander and Soldier Callan said. "We might need all of you to help on this quest." Nutcracker Prince and Soldier Callan said, looking at us with hope.

"Looks like an adventure is calling us, guys," Valerie said, looking at her friends with determination. Everyone smiled and their hearts filled up with determination as well. "Alright then, let's go." Nutcracker Prince Alexander and Nutcracker Soldier Callan said, leading the way. As we were walking Valerie felt a tug on her pinkie, she looked down and saw a red string wrapped around it. Valerie couldn't tell if the red string was just in her head or if she was seeing it. "Hey, Valerie, come on!" Basil yelled, making Valerie come out of her thoughts. Valerie jogged over to the little group with a nervous smile. "You okay?" Alora asked, "Yep, I'm good, sorry I zoned out." I chuckled nervously while scratching the back of my head. "Alright, if you say so," Landen said, as everyone followed Nutcracker Alexander and Nutcracker Callan through the mouse hole. As we walked through the mouse hole, it was pitch black. As the group kept walking they could see a light.

The small group walked closer and closer till they were met with a hallway, and right across the hallway was a door. "Ok, this isn't sketchy at all," Basil mumbles under their breath. Valerie, Alexander, and Callan walked towards the door. Alexander turned the doorknob and opened the door, and then there was a beam of light coming from the other side. "Y'all ready for this?" Valerie turned toward the rest of the gang. They all nodded their heads. And one by one, each person walked through the door.
