Y/n POV
"Here."
You suddenly awoke to the sound of the small metal door slamming shut. You had fallen asleep on the floor instead of the bed provided, which you instantly regretted. Your body ached even more than when you fell asleep.
The clock read eight thirty and you had only gotten roughly four hours of sleep. Sam stood at your door watching as you rubbed your eyes. He had slid a metal tray through the slot at the bottom of the door and waited for you to take it.
"Breakfast." Sam mumbled. On the tray, there were two pieces of toast, a few apple slices, and a cup of water. You took the tray and set it on the floor by the door.
"I'm not hungry." You went over to your cot and laid down hoping to get some more sleep. Sam mumbled something, but you couldn't understand it. You didn't really care anyway, all you were focused on was getting rest.
"Y/n, eat." Sam demanded. You ignored his request and turned toward the wall. "Hey!" He shouted and punched the cell door. You quickly sat up and stared at him.
"I. am. not. hungry." You repeated without breaking eye contact. Sam pushed a few strands of his green hair out of his face, but his eyes remained on you.
"Fine." Sam hissed after a few moments of silence and then left.
"Go throw your tantrum somewhere else!" You called. A few seconds later you heard a redstone powered door shut and then another door slam.
You rolled your eyes and laid back down. After you found a comfortable position, you let sleep take over once more.
You dreamt about running through the sunflower field that grew next to your childhood home. You and your mother would have picnics on the edge of the field. You and Dream loved to play Hide N' Seek when the flowers grew tall as well.
Hide N' Seek soon turned into sparring as you both got older and learned how to fight. Your dream soon turned from a nice walk through the field into a practice battle between you and Dream.
You both started at different sides of the sparring circle and drew your swords.
"Ready?" You asked with a smile. Dream nodded as his eyes narrowed. You ran toward him with your sword raised. Dream blocked your swing and pushed you away. You swung again just barley catching his arm leaving a small cut.
You laughed as he wiped the blood off. It didn't faze him, let alone hurt him.
"You can do better." Dream's grin turned into an emotionless expression. Your smile quickly left your face as you felt a bit disappointed.
Without warning, Dream swung at you with his sword. The tip of the sword cut a straight line through the stomach of your shirt. You had no time to react to Dream's second blow. He knocked you on your back causing the air to be forced out of your lungs.
"Tim- time ou-" You coughed trying to breathe. Dream didn't stop. He jumped on top of you and rose his sword up. He was no longer playing. He was trying to kill you.
"Get off!" You yelled the best you could. "Stop!"
You screamed as the sword pierced your chest.
You woke up in a cold sweat and your heart was racing. You ran your hand over your chest where you watched the sword enter, but everything was still intact. You let out a sigh of relief and wiped the sweat off your forehead.
"What the fuck were you screaming at?" Sam appeared in front of your cell door.
"Uhm..." You closed your eyes and rubbed your head for a moment. "Just a nightmare."
