As Clay slid into the driver's seat of his car, he took a deep breath before inserting his keys in the ignition. Here we go, let's just get this over with he thought to himself. He pulled out of his driveway and started going towards the long day he had ahead of him.

About 30 minutes into the drive, he ran into traffic, he was hoping that everyone wasn't going to the same place. Clay wasn't the best Infront of a lot of people. He always got anxious when he was around huge crowds. The last time he was around a huge crowd of people was after high school graduation, when Nick dragged him to a party, it's where he met Samantha- his toxic ex. They were both drunk- they only time she was truly kind and warm hearted towards him or anyone really-, they ended up dancing together and spent the whole night talking about EVERYTHING, she might have been the only person he shared personal things with so soon into meeting. Maybe that's why he stayed with her through everything, is because she knew so much about him already and he hated sharing his feelings with people.

When he finally got up to the front of the traffic, he found out it was all for the park, there was no wreck or anything, just a lot of people wanting to spend a whole day at a damn park, he didn't understand what they saw in it, what possibly could have drawn all these people to this one park to spend it in the heat with screaming kids all around them.

He still had about 10 minutes before he arrived so he thought before he did, he would call Nick and rant to him about how much he was dreading his day.

"Shouldn't you be out socializing, and what not, not talking to me," Nick said, Clay could tell he was holding back a laugh even over the phone.

"Yes, well before I waste my day away doing nothing but sit around and watch a bunch of families do family things, you get to listen to me bitch about it."

"Why me? It's not like it was my idea for you to go."

"Nope, but you're the one who agreed with my mom, and had to mention the whole "finding the one" thing, even though I was fine how I was doing. I actually had a lot of things planned to do today, that I had to reschedule."

"Dude please, like what? You literally do nothing but work or talk to me what could you possibly be doing?"

"I was going to go get more shirts for work, mine are getting old."

"Yeah, you seem awfully busy. And don't hate on the "finding the one" stuff I used to think the same thing until I met Karl, and he's the best thing to happen to me."

"Whatever, you and my mom can dream about it all y'all want. And with Karl I am happy for you, he is all you talk about these days. But I need to go. I just pulled up to the park and I must find a decent parking spot."

"Ok, but at least try to socialize a little bit."

They said their goodbyes and hung up before Clay pulled his full attention back to the parking lot. He knew he was most likely not going to get one of the front spots, but all the same he drove around the front, looking at every car that had a space. As he thought there were no spots, so he had to park towards the back, closer to the food stands. He was kind of happy with that because he was starting to get hungry, but because he already ate an hour ago, he needed just a pick me up before he had to "socialize."

Once he got into his parking spot, he gave himself a minute to breathe and prepare himself for all the people. He told his mom he would come, and he knew she wanted him to try and socialize with people, and that's what he will try to do. Not for him, but to make his mom happy and nothing more.

Getting out of the car along with three other families near his car. He had to maneuver his way through them, trying to avoid eye contact with all of them. Before taking another step closer towards the park, he stopped closing his eyes, taking in only the sound of the people surrounding him. All he could hear was the sound of kids running and screaming, even some crying babies. When he opened his eyes, he felt more relaxed and was ready to go on with the day ahead.

Once he walked through the entrance of the park, he headed straight for the food stands. He was really in the mood for cotton candy, he thought that if he had to spend his day here, he could eat what he wants. Weaving his way through the crowds of people he finally made it to the blue and pink stand, he kept his head down most of the time.

"NEXT," a voice called from behind the counter. Clay lifted his head to see a pale, small, guy, who had brown eyes that sparkled in the sunlight. He had long brown hair that was messy because of the wind. Clay noticed right away that he had an English accent. He seemed different than most guys, but Clay couldn't place it. The stranger made eye contact with Clay and froze in his tracks, a small, flushed color rose in the stranger's cheeks.

"Hi," Clay told the stranger. They were the only words he could muster up. Every time Clay looked at him, he would get even more nervous to say anything.

"COME ON, HURRY UP THERES A LINE," yelled a man towards the back of the line.

"What can I get you?"

"A small container of blueberry, please," Clay stuttered, trying to avoid looking and the beautiful boy before him.

Blushing the stranger answered, "coming right up."

Clay took a step to the side to let the other people behind him order. A women handed him his cotton candy, confused why the guy didn't give it to him.

"Excuse me, ma'am, where is the man who took my order?"

"He said he wanted to take a step out, he should be around."

She smiled and turned away, getting back to the other customers. Clay had no control over his feet, they started moving on their own. He didn't know why but he knew he had to talk to the guy again, there was something about him that felt right. Clay started walking towards the back of the stand keeping an eye out on every person passing by him. While scanning the crowd, his feet stopped right where he stood, laying his eyes on the brunette from the stand. He was sitting on a bench with his head downplaying with his fingers, he seemed flushed. He could understand he was feeling the same way.

"Um, excuse me. Do you mind if I sit here," Clay asked him?

The brunette looked up to see who was talking to him before landing on Clay. "Oh, uh yeah sure."

He sat down next to him opening the container of cotton candy, he bent it towards the stranger, offering. He kindly declined by waving his hand.

Clay was the first to speak between them. "My name is Clay by the way."

"Oh, nice to meet you. I'm George." For the whole time they were sitting next to each other they didn't look at each other. But George finally looked up from his hands and looking towards Clay, he had a small smile on his face, his cheeks still looked flushed almost like he was embarrassed about talking to Clay.
