VINNIE SAT ON HIS BED while his mind replayed what Maia told him the day before, the cold hard truth he didn't know if he was happy to hear or disappointed to hear but either way he was somehow glad that she told him the truth. He looked at the picture in the cute white photo frame on his bed side table, the picture still the same because it was his favourite picture ever to exist— yes, it was a picture of him and mai when they were young.

" you can't sit here and day dream forever" Jordan chuckled as he walked into the room, " whats on your mind?" he asked the obviously troubled boy.

And after hearing what Vinnie explained it was a lot to take in but Jordan eventually got it " look maybe they hid the truth from you for your own good but it kinda sucks, they probably had no choice like you well, like Maia said" Jordan tried to think of it in a positive way even though, he knew this wasn't necessarily going to help Vinnie but at least he tried.

" am i allowed here?" A female voice asked the two males that were having a conversation, their heads turn which brought a smile to both their faces " yes ! we or well, Vinnie needs advice so please help him" Jordan says while gently pulling Nailea towards Vinnie and slowly walking away.

Nailea rolled her eyes " so what is this about?" she asked the troubled boy in front of her and for the second time Vinnie explained the situation.

" There's no way!" Nailea gasped while Vinnie nods his head " its a lot to take it" she added but eventually gave him a piece of advice she hoped could help him.

" you and Mai you guys are related, arent you?" Vinnie asked the girl " Vinnie I already told you" she sighed not giving him the answer he wanted.

" The day we met, you had a call from your dad and you asked him to leave you alone? you never spoke about your father and you barely said anything about your family"

Maia argued back " why should I tell you anything about my family business ? I barely even know you" causing Vinnie to stay silent as he knew he could argue with that since it seems like the two or well, Maia was hiding a lot from the boy.

Vinnie sighed and sat down, the tension in the room was uncomfortable and it made the confuse Luke who had just walked in already uncomfortable. " Maia, just tell him everything. Lets stop hiding secrets from each other or well between the both of you, Mai is gone and its been a year so lets just end this, okay?" Luke gave Maia a reassuring look -- luke is a smart guy, he always figured things out even when he should be minding his own business but really no one can hide anything from the kid.

" Mai and I were step siblings. Her dad had many affairs and the one time, he got this lady pregnant and it was my mum which he left and got married to Mrs Scott, willow, but Scott isn't his real name because he changed his whole identity and made it such a coincidence that mai and i have the same name. We only found out because my mum was clearing my attic at my old house and I found pictures of him and my mum which she tore up and threw away when she  saw me looking at them, she told me the truth and he still tries to act like a dad but I grew up without a dad and hearing what he did to my best friend was disgusting."

she took a big sigh, " my intention was never to hurt you, but my job is done and you know the truth now so you can leave and hate me for keeping this from you."

Luke nudged her shoulder and rolled his eyes " Vinnie, Mai was a sweet girl and we know what we did was wrong but her murderer is still walking free. Don't you want to get justice for Mai?" 

"yeah but how ? this story its so messed up." 

Maia and Luke looked at each other " just trust us or dont, we cant tell you what to do"
