Alright, long overdue chapter. (at least in terms of me posting it...)

3.1k words!!!! I think this is the longest chapter I've ever written and published. I like writing longer ones, but I also feel like the editing can be a lot harder.

I knew this chapter was going to be a thing like, basically, during my writing of the first two chapters.

I really like this chapter even though it is fairly long and filled with a lot of little filler pieces just to make it seem more realistic.

I know I said this like 5 chapters ago, but after this chapter, I am actually going to start time-skipping... I don't know how it's literally been like 2 days in the story and I have 10 chapters. I just really like where this book is going and so I want to make sure I have the time to write and set up the things I want while also not boring every single reader to death.

Hopefully, you enjoy this chapter because even though it's a little different than I first envisioned it, I'm still fairly happy about how it turned out.

Happy Reading :)

------------------------------

You woke up with a groggy feeling. You blamed it on the amount you allowed yourself to smoke last night.

Weston and Kalynn weren't out in the living room yet so you grabbed your phone and started scrolling through your notifications. You had a couple of texts about random shit in your group chat and a few other social media notifications.

You sat up and folded the blankets and put the pillow on top so that everything was tidied up for when Weston and Kalynn woke up or decided to come out of their rooms. Based on the time, you figured that they would soon.

You hoped that this would be your last night sleeping on the couch so that you wouldn't feel awkward if they happened to wake up earlier than you and wanted to use their living room. You just couldn't be sure if Kalynn's offer was genuine toward you or if she just felt bad.

Then again, Weston did also offer his room. Not that you would ever do that. It wasn't even something you really did when you guys were younger. The only time you guys slept in the same bed was if Kalynn was in the bed or in the room during a trip/vacation/sleepover.

A rush of excitement waved through your body when you remembered that you guys were going to head to their Parent's pool today. You were excited to be out in the sun rather than cooped up in a car or in their apartment. Not that you felt as if that's how it'd been for the past, almost, 2 days... It was just going to be nice to be outside all day for a change.

Kalynn came out of her bedroom and looked as if she had been awake for a little bit. Her hair was brushed and she had some makeup on, but she was still in her pajamas.

"Good morning!" Kalynn said joining you on the couch.

"Good morning." You said back through a yawn.

"Is Weston awake?" She asked you looking over at Weston's closed door.

"Nah, I haven't seen him." You replied glancing over at his door as well.

"Well, if you are okay with leaving fairly soon... I was thinking we could just grab breakfast on the road and then head over to our parent's house?" Kalynn said. You could tell she was also eager to get out of the house.

"Yeah, I'm totally fine with that." You didn't mind. It's not like you needed some big extravagant breakfast every morning. You were more excited to swim anyway than you were to make any type of food.

Kalynn went on her phone and you did as well. You were a bit too tired to make conversation at the moment, seeing as you had just woken up and could go back to sleep if your head hit the pillow... Which was highly unlike you.
