Day Off

Jungkook wakes up and looks over at his handsome boyfriend. He smiles. Jin took today off so Jungkook got to wake up next to his boyfriend after what seemed like months of waking up to an empty bed. 

"Good Morning, Jinnie" He says. 

"Good Morning, Baby," Jin responds as he smiles. 

"You took today off right?" 

Jin hums in response. "Yeah, I did. I was thinking maybe we could do something today." Jin says and then kisses Jungkook's forehead.

"Can we go to the cafe and maybe hangout there and then we can go get some ice cream?" He says, smiling hopefully.

Jin laughs. "Of course, anything for my baby." He says as he kisses Jungkook's nose.

Jungkook giggles. "Thanks jinnie." 

He smiles. "Get up and get ready, we'll leave in a little bit."

"Alright" He says as he gets out of bed. He gets dressed and he styles his hair next to Jin. 

"You ready, bun?" He says. Jungkook hums in response as Jin walks out the door with Jungkook following him. Jin walks ahead to open the car door and Jungkook laughs, but gets in. As Jin drives, Jungkook thinks about how great this day will be. For the first time in months, they can finally spend the day together without any interruptions.  

Once at the cafe, Jin opens the door for Jungkook and he gladly walks in with Jin trailing behind him. They sit at their usual seat and decide what to order. 

"What are you ordering? Remember, not too many sweets since we're getting ice cream after, okay?" Jin says.

Jungkook hums. "Okies. I think I want a hot cocoa and a chocolate chip cookie."

Jin nods. "That sounds good, bun. I think I'll just have the usual."

He smiles. "Alright then." 

Jin orders their food and Jungkook smiles happily.

"What's gotten you so smily today, baby? You're usually a grumpy little thing." Jin teases. 

Jungkook pouts. "Can I not be happy that i get to spend my whole day with you?" 

"Of course you can, baby. I was just teasing." Jin says, but stops as their treats arrive. 

"Thank you." Jungkook tells the waiter. 

"Enjoy your food, bun." He says after the waiter leaves. And with that, Jungkook picks up his cookie and starts eating. 

"Its so goooddd," He moans. 

Jin smiles and goes to take a bite of his but gets interrupted by his phone ringing. "Oh, hang on. Its my boss." He frowns as he hangs up the phone. "Sorry baby, looks like I have to go back to work."

Jungkook frowns. "Y-you have to go?" He says with tears in his eyes. 

"Yeah, but please dont cry, angel. I'll be back before you know it." Jin says. 

"Its okay, Jinnie. I understand." He says as he fake smiles. 

"I promise I'll make it up to you, baby. Finish up so I can take you home."

"Alright." 

Jin waits for him to finish while he scrolls on his phone, and holding his coffee in the other. 

"Alright jin, im done" He says as he drinks the last of his hot cocoa. Jin throws the trash away and goes to the car as Jungkook follows behind him. 

When they arrive at their house, Jin says "I'll see you in a little bit, baby. I love you." 

"Alright Jin...I'll wait for you." 

And with that, Jin drives off to work and Jungkook falls to ground, finally breaking down and crying.
