Kendrick had outdone himself with the celebration. Instead of the club, he decided to have a pool party at his new home since I no longer hosted parties at mine. Too much drama the next day on the media which was always untrue. His home was filled with beautiful women, alcohol was flowing. He had a whole VIP area made by him just for me and my friends were present. We were drinking and vibing to the different artists performing, on a makeshift stage by the pool area. It was jist us guys while Kendrick was somewhere with some girl who would for sure get him in trouble tomorrow. This guy never learnt the dangers of messing with groupies and I hated how it affected me but there was so much I could say to him.

" Ey yo Ayo! _ Damn that rhymes.. Anyway look who I found downstairs."

" Oh hell no!, who invited this idiot."

Jason shook his head annoyed with a sigh. After everything that had transpired I was no longer sure about how I felt about our friendship but knew that things had changed between us. All I was doing now was being a loyal friend since he had been with me the longest.

" I knew he can be too much sometimes but he's still my bestfriend."

" A friend who's trying to come inbetween you and Nerfi, yeah_ he's your bestfriend."

" He's not doing that, he's just being Craig."

" Yeah being a manipulative backstabber and trying to get you caught by these vultures doing something considered bad, he is definitely being Craig."

Jason was referring to the fact that Craig always brought with him women during such events and now he was also accompanied by a group of women. Adrienne was part of the group and she immediately came to sit next to me. Once again he flashed his engagement ring when a lady approached him. I could not understand how a man wore an engagement ring but at the same time admired him for his commitment to Angela.

" Why are you guys hiding up here when the party is alight-"

" You mean lit?"

" Yes that."

" Well I'm kinda resting right now and enjoying my drinks. I just returned from shooting and I am still a bit tired."

She pulled something out of her handbag and handed it to me. I was shocked when I realized it was a velvet jewellery square bag. The size made me think she had smuggled diamonds in her purse, it was small. I held it between my fingers with it's drawstrings hesitant to open it.

" What's this for?"

" Well when I heard you were celebrating your latest projects, I thought I could not come here empty handed. So I got you that_ open it."

" You know that just you coming was enough."

" Well I haven't come yet._ I'm just kidding, now open it."

I quickly threw it back into the bag as soon as I saw what it was. She had gotten me a diamond encrusted bracelet that looked to expensive to be seen by so many people. I noticed Jason look at me with a raised eyebrow as I tried to get over the shock of this gift.

" What? Don't you like it? It's too extravagant right?"

" No, it's fine but how much was this bracelet?"
