" Hey Nene"

My lips instantly curved into a smile when he called me by my nickname. He called me Nene all the way till my teenage years when I made him stop because that's how they started bullying me. I loved it but highschool made me hate it and it just brought back so many fond memories of us growing up.

" What brings you by honey?"

Rebecca asked as she handed my dad a bowl of fruit. She always made him a fruit salad before lunch. I hugged her after hugging my dad then sat down infront of them.

" Dad!"

Hailey screamed from upstairs before I could answer and soon her footsteps could be heard rushing down the stairs.

" Nerfi's in hospital-"

She was stunned when she rushed in to find me seated with our parents.

" _Sis? The blogs say you were rushed into the emergency room-"

" That was yesterday babe. Refresh your feed."

" Why, what happened?"

I began to explain the events of the previous night. I could see my father's face distort with anger as I told him everything that transpired that led me into the emergency room. Ommitting the drama after.

" Where was that Ayo during all of this?"

" He's was at work-"

" His work is much more important than you and his children?"

" No dad,he didn't know and he
came to the hospital as soon as he found out and landed Logan in hospital."

" Nerfi why are you sticking up for that idiot. He should have known putting you in that damn music bideo would have consequences."

" Dad I'm not sticking up for him. He was in the studio working dad, how could he know Logan would do such a thing."

" This is not the first time Logan tried to get at you, he has an expensive well guarded mansion that he could have moved you into as soon as you told him you were pregnant. What kind of man is he!?"

" I thought you were against co-habitation?"

My dad glared at Hailey who shrunk back into her seat and looked away.

" That's not the point is that he failed to protect my baby girl and grandkids. What kind of a man is he? Fuck this."

My heart hurt seeing my dad so angry, I never thought he would react in this way. He walked out of the living room after brushing off Rebecca who was trying to calm him. The tears fell.

" Shhhh.. don't cry honey. Your dad's reaction is normal for any father who feels he failed his child. Don't take it personal."

" It's not his or Ayo's fault. I myself never thought that Logan would react in this matter to my pregnancy."

" I know, don't stress yourself about him he'll calm down. Hailey get your sister a glass of water-"

" No need mma, I'm leaving. Ayo booked us into lamaze class's and it starts in an hour."

" How responsible of him. You know he was never involved with any of his previous baby mama's pregnancy but was there for the birth, apparently. To think of it you're the first girlfriend he has ever posted on his page, before and during pregnancy. Must be nice."

She smiled scrolling through her phone and the buzzing of my phone let me know she had tagged me in his posts.
