The boy next door

is he flirting with me?

we reach the apartment complex and start walking up the stairs, his hand brushes against mine every now and again, by accident, right?
as we walk through our floor we talk about the video game hoseok and him we're playing, apparently hoseok kept killing him on purpose which made me laugh a little,
"i would have done the same" i laugh as he fakes a pout.
"well, i'll see you tomorrow" he smiles and brings me into a hug, "see you tomorrow" i say quietly and give him a small smile before i close the door. i can hear his footsteps outside and walk nextdoor, sometimes i forget he lives right next door to me, i smile and dump all of my bags onto the sofa and turn on the tv, i watch an episode of my favourite show and decide i should get a drink and something to eat, i fill up my water bottle and cook a meal for myself, rice,vegetables, fried tofu and a fried egg, i smile down at the food and continue watching tv. an hour or two pass and i turn off the tv and clean up after myself, i dress into comfy clothes to sleep in and crawl into bed, i look at my phone and see it's 10pm, i scroll through social media and watch a couple youtube videos before i fall asleep.
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEE-*
"that noise is traumatising" i mumble to myself and burrow back into my blanket, i get up and do my usual morning routine, i check my phone to see a text from felix, a confused look comes upon my face, i wonder why he's messaged me?

- i remembered you told me you only moved to seoul 2 weeks ago, how about today we meet up and i'll show you some of my favourite places?? we can even take some pictures for you to paint in art class :))
i smile at the messages , how thoughtful

i hear a knock on my door and open it to see jennie and namjoon yawning
"good morning" i smile as they walk in slumping onto my sofa,
"how was art class last night" jennie smiles over at me
"it was really fun thanks! i even made a friend" i sit down next to them
"we should probably leave soon, do you guys want to grab and iced coffee before class?" namjoon stands up stretching his arms, i nod and pull jennie up from the sofa, we link arms and walk out of the apartment with namjoon in front of us.
"can i sit in the front joon???" jennie tugs his shirt as we walk towards the car
"no jennie sit in the back" he shoves her off laughing
"i'd actually prefer to sit in the back, it would be like i have a personal taxi service" i smile sarcastically as jennie mouths "thank you"
we play music on the way to the drive through, namjoon orders an iced coffee and two iced matcha drinks for me and jennie,
"thank you for paying" i say reaching over and patting namjoons head, he smiles shyly- cute
we reach the university and get out of the car, jennie walks off to her class and me and namjoon walk to ours,
"did you sleep okay" he tilts his head
"i slept great, did you?"
"yeah, i kind of wish i was still in bed right now" we laugh and walk into the classroom. i see felix already there scrolling through his phone, i walk away from namjoon and tap felix on the head before i sit down on my seat, he turns over with a wide smile
"y/n" he says in an excited tone, namjoon sits beside me and starts getting his book out
" hey felix" namjoon smiles at him and then looks over at me
" so do you want to go to the city after class or later on?" felix says tilting his head
namjoon suddenly side eyes me tilting his head a little so he can see felix, it's not subtle at all
" um yeah we could go after class, get some lunch too" i smile "do you know any secret cafe's" i laugh
"yes i have the perfect one in mind" he laughs back
"what-uh where are you guys going ahaha" namjoon forces a laugh
"oh i said to y/n i'd show her around seoul" felix smiles and turns back around as the teacher walks in. "good morning class" the professor smiles and starts writing on the board
" were you going to tell me we aren't having lunch together today" namjoon whispers
"i was going to tell you i just forgot, sorry" i shrug
"it's alright, i'll see you later though right?" he nudges me and i smile
"of course" i open my text book and start writing notes. an hour passes and class is finished.
"now class i want you to pair up in groups of 2 or 3 and plan a presentation on hedonism, it needs to be completed in 2 weeks time" the professor says loudly
"i trust you can all pair off without my help"
namjoon turns to me smiling "we will obviously be partners" before i could answer felix turns around
"hey guys can we do it together" he says with wide eyes, i smile back and nod
"oh um yeah, we can start prepping for it tomorrow" namjoon tilts his head slightly and looks at me
"sounds good to me, should we do it at the library or at one of our apartments?" felix asks tapping his pen on his chin
"hmmm i don't mind" i shrug packing up my stuff
"you guys can come over to my apartment tomorrow afternoon then" felix says standing up, namjoon smiles awkwardly as we all start walking out of the classroom together. i feel something nudging my arm, i look at him and he whispers to check my phone

- do you want to stay at my apartment tonight?
my heart dropped, stay at his apartment?? i don't know what to say and i can feel myself burning up, i look up at him and nod "sure" with a slightly confused face, he smiles and looks away. why does he want me to stay over at his? am i reading too much into it ???
"so y/n are you ready to go?" felix suddenly links his arm around mine
"yep i can't wait, my personal tour guide" i laugh
"alright have fun, i'll see you later then" namjoon gives a small smile which seemed forced and walks off. felix and i walk out of the building, the clouds in the sky are grey and heavy which i always find calming and pretty to look at
"yeah it looks like it's going to rain, but that's okay i have an umbrella we can share" felix smiles and winks at me as he opens his car door for me to get in.
