The boy next door

confused

as we all walk back to mine namjoon walks beside me, at one point his hand brushed against mine as i was talking to jennie causing me to freeze up for a split second making her head tilt.
"what's wrong?" jennie asks innocently
"nothing" i say blandly, quite impressed i didn't stutter like i'd usually.
as the apartment building is in view jennie walks in front of me and namjoon.
"how come you chose philosophy " namjoon looks down at me with a sweet smile.
"it's interesting i guess, why did you chose it?" i reply confidently
"the same reason" he chuckles and scratched the back of his neck.
Namjoons P.O.V
i don't know why but after meeting y/n for the first time i can't get her out of my mind. she's so cute and seems like such a nice person, she can be sarcastic at times too which i like. not to mention how pretty she is i mean,,,,,
my thoughts get interrupted
"namjoon?" y/n asks whilst tilting her head
"sorry i was lost in thought, what did you say" i smile, a little embarrassed.
"it's okay, i just said we are here" she stands next to her door, looking at my hand which holds the apartment key.
"come on joon open the door" jennie says tapping her foot impatiently. i open the door and we all start to put things away again. i don't know why i keep looking at y/n, she's confusing me, sometimes i catch her looking at me and then other times i feel like she doesn't even know i'm here..
"do you need some help?" y/n taps my shoulder looking at the bed frame in holding, trying to figure out how to put it together.
"uhm- yes please" i chuckle as she sits next to me. she whispers the instructions to herself whilst she reads, aw, she started to put things together and telling me what to do. i can't help but watch her, her hair shapes her face so well, her hair is a little messy but she still manages to look breathtaking.
End of Namjoons P.O.V
i can't help but notice namjoon looking at me as i place the bed frame together, what is it with him today?? he's making me feel nervous.
"are you alright" i ask him as he diverts his eyes once i meet them.
"y-yes sorry" he says quietly and continues to build the bed frame. i smile a little at his shyness. we managed to complete it in 30 minutes, we both stood in front of my bed and place the new mattress on top of the frame we just built, i put on a bedsheet and pillows and a duvet. he lies down on the bed pulling me down to lie with him, it felt nice.
this is my room:

namjoon put is arm around my waist and pulls me into him, making me blush. hard.
he felt really warm, i looked up at his face and see he has closed his eyes, the sun has just started to set and i can tell we are both tired from the hard day we have had.
"wow your bedroom looks so nice y/n- WELL WELL WELL WHAT HAVE WE GOT HERE" jennie says with the biggest smile i have ever seen on any human, her eyes completely invisible and her teeth shining like a bunnies.
me and namjoon sit up together, both blushing.
"n-nothing we were just laying down t-testing the bed frame" i mutter as i cover my cheeks knowing i'm bright red.
"it was really comfy" namjoon says in a stable voice as he places his hand on my knee, caressing it making me blush even HARDER.
i'm so confused why am i feeling like this?? i mean starting to think about it, he is obviously really attractive, he has a really sweet smile and is really nice. he also makes me blush making me come to the realisation. i have a crush on him. i have a crush on my best friends brother.

i get off the bed and make my way to the kitchen and get myself a smoothie from the refrigerator, jennie following me.
"SO" jennie says smiling smugly at me
"so" i say taking a sip
" what was going on in there, looks like you guys were comfortable, cozy-" she says teasing me
"i told you what was going on, we were just testing the bed-"
"he said it was really comfy whilst he has his arm around your waist" she says bluntly but still smiling
"yeah umm" i didn't know how to respond
" y/n !!! don't get nervous it's made my day seeing this, i didn't realise how cute you two were until i walked into your room!" she squeals hugging me tightly. at least i know she wouldn't be annoyed if i told her i had a crush on her brother... i'll tell her later. i just smile and hug her back tightly.
"would you like some?" i push the bottle near her face as she releases me from her hug, she nods and takes a gulp.
namjoon walks in stretching his arms, he looks so cute !! he was such a good hugger too, i could stay in that postition forev-
" should we watch a movie or something? order food in?" my thoughts get interrupted.
namjoon sits down on the sofa, jennie following him.
"yeah sure what should we watch?" i follow the trail and sit beside jennie.
"horror or action" namjoon says grabbing the remote.
"comedy!" jennie says snatching it off him making him roll his eyes.
"y/n what do you want to watch" jennie says with wide eyes, trying to persuade me to let her put on a comedy.
"comedy sounds great" i pinch her cheeks and give namjoon a smug smile as he pouts.
jennie puts on a movie as namjoon stands up and heads towards the kitchen.
"what are you doing?" i say looking over at him
"i'm gonna order us some food, you can start the movie without me" he winks at me casually,
i turn back to the tv and suppress a smile
"press play" i said softly as i rested my head on her shoulder
Namjoons P.O.V
as i watch y/n rest her head on jennies shoulder i could feel my heart melt.
i order the food quickly, as i place my phone back into my pocket a smirk comes across my face as i come up with a plan.
i walk into the room and sit beside y/n ready to put my plan in action 😏
