  You yawned audibly as you walked down the cobblestone streets of Mondstadt, the small trinkets you had collected from the ground rattling around in your bag. Surprisingly, people seemed to drop a lot of things in this city. Especially Mora. You hummed cheerily to yourself and pulled out your stolen money pouch, inspecting it closely as you strolled.

  "It would be a waste not to use this stuff...I'm feeling a little thirsty."

  "Come get a drink at Angel's Share!"

  You looked up and put away the bag, your eyes immediately landing on a man shouting and handing out flyers in front of a tavern. You strode over and raised a hand up in a friendly gesture, an amiable smile on your face.

  "Hey there, friend. This place open for business?"

  The man nodded eagerly and grinned, gesturing towards the door. "Enjoy yourself!"

  You nodded back at him and patted his shoulder genially, opening the door to the tavern and sauntering inside. The tavern was bustling with noise, drunken men chatting jovially with each other at every corner of the building. The scent of fruity liquor wafted through the air, almost intoxicating you by the scent alone. Yeah, this was definitely your place. You whistled and sat down at the bar, resting your forearm on the counter. "What's the most popular drink here?"

  The bearded bartender looked up from cleaning a glass, staring at you with a bit of curiosity. "There's a lot of popular drinks here, but I would recommend the apple cider."

  "I'll have that, then."

  "Get me what they're having, too, will you?"

  You turned your head to see an attractive man with long navy blue hair and an eyepatch grinning at the bartender, resting his chin on his hand. A lopsided smile made its way onto your face, your interest immediately piqued by this mysterious person. The man turned to you and chuckled, eyeing you up and down. 

  "So you're the vagrant that Outrider Amber was talking about, hm?"

  "Wow, I didn't think I would get so popular so quickly." You snickered, eyeing him back. You didn't know why, but you had a feeling that this guy was someone you didn't want to mess with. Plus, he already knew who you were. "Who might you be, may I ask?"

  "My name is Kaeya, captain of the Knights of Favonius. And you are?"

  "Y/N L/N, captain of nothing because I travel alone and have no friends."

  Kaeya laughed, his uncovered eye twinkling with amusement. "You're quite the comedian, aren't you? What might you be doing in Mondstadt, my windward friend?"

  "Aah, I heard the captain of the Knights was really hot, so I decided to stop by and see for myself if that was true." You crossed your legs as the bartender set both of your drinks down, taking your drink and sipping it while staring at him slyly. Kaeya smirked and sipped his drink as well, staring back almost challengingly.
