Three months had already passed since the last time I saw my strange visions, because Emma was finally out of my head, and out of my sight. It was already December 15th and holiday break was coming close. Lately all thats been on my mind was the guy from my visions and if he had anything to do with my dad's accident, referring to him holding my dad's work address. I was kind of creeped out but I knew sooner or later I would have to look deeper into the visions and find out more information.
For now I promised myself not to worry about anything that would bring the visions, and instead I thought I would relax and take Tanner's offer and hang out after school. Tanner and I have gotten unusually close since the past months. It made me happy that we got more time to hang out, but there was something going on and I needed to know what. Tanner has not been in the mood for almost anything gor the past week or so. Thats when I walked up to him after the bell rang and asked him curiously, "Whats been up with you lately? Are you okay?"
I saw Tanners cheeks blush a little once he began to talk. "Yeah everything is fine. I have just been worried about something, and thinking about it everyday." Tanner stated nervously.
Rachel spoke clearly,"What's worrying you, you could tell me."
Tanner announced shyly,"I have been thinking about this for days but I think it's about time to ask you."
Rachel began to worry, confused of what Tanner wanted to ask her. She took a step back and whispered,"What do you want to tell me?"
"Will you Rachel Waltz be my girlfriend? I know this is a lot to take in at once so take your time to think about it and just let me know when your ready. Its just I really like you and can't keep my feelings in anymore." Tanner announced with his voice shaking.
Omg! This was one of the best things in my life. Its a dream come true. Since the first day I saw Tanner walk into school I fell in love and knew he is the boy for me. Of course I would say yes, but I didn't want to sound too excitied.
"Yes I will be your girlfriend Tanner! I have feelings for you too, and I have been crazy about you." Rachel replied bluffing.
Tanner and I walked to my house in the freezing cold weather, while it was snowing. I picked up a snowball and started chucking it at Tanner and didn't realize time was flying while we were enjoying ourselves. We were on Emma's street and I looked towards her driveway used to there being no car, but not today. My jaw had dropped. Emma had left with her parents out of town after the letter incident, but she has suddenly appeared again. It was almost as if everytime something good was happening in my life, she just had to come and stab me from behind with pain of her presence. I tried not showing my fear but that obviously didn't go as planned.
"Rach, are you okay?" Tanner looked at me, then turning to see what I was looking at.
"Yeah...I'm fine.." Rachel answered anxiously, now beginning to slowly walk towards her house.
Tanner and Rachel walked in silence for the rest of the walk, until they reacged Rachel's front step.
"I'm really sorry, I was just caught up with Emma coming back again, and my brain was in a different place." Rachel spoke in hope of forgiveness.
Tanner looked up at Rachel and told her,"It's okay, I understand your in a lot of pressure now. Don't worry about it, just text me tomorrow and get some rest."
Rachel said goodbye and walked into her house, greeting her were her parents. She ran up the stairs taking of her snow boots, and abercrombie jacket. Her day had gone from the best to the worst in only the matter of an hour. Rachel opened her drawer and picked a pair of comfy pajamas in black polka dots and entered her bathroom ready to shower. She felt lightheaded and thought it was going to soon dissappear but she was wrong, she felt nausea and saw everything closing up in front of her eyes. The world was going black and the last thing she saw was the man from all her visions in the car, holding the address, and her dad laying in the front of the car bloody. She collapsed to the floor.
