It's been a few months now and Sergeant Charlie Brown was still in the small town of Bamberg in Germany not much had happened since their arrival at the small town other than people asking for help to collect food or other non essential jobs but under the command of the sergeant major of the British Army the soldiers were forced to do any job for the towns people not matter how big or how small the task was. On the other side of Germany in Auschwitz concentration camp Amelia sands had started her day by the wake up call that came from the German soldiers at the crack of dawn as everyone slowly got ready they were given their breakfasts nothing more than a slice of bread and a little bit butter after that some were taken out of the camps as new people arrived while the rest got to work they did all sorts of different things like building sheds and roads to sewing the clothes to fix any holes that had been made. Majority of the people there hadn't showerd or had the chance to change their clothes in months but since people came and went and most likely were never seen again the prisoners didn't talk much to one another as in fear of losing yet another friend. It was now the 6th of June in 1942 and the British Army as well as the American Army had been sent out on a mission to invade a concentration camp their mission was to invade arrest any of the German soliders for questioning and set free any prisoners that had been held there they set off at the crack of drawn no time to loose as they made their way through Germany all the way to Auschwitz once their they followed through with the mission doing as they were told all German soliders were sent back to camp for questioning while all the prisoners were set free majority of them being in great pain because of the constant torture from the soliders everyone was gradually sent back to the camp in Bamberg once back at camp they took care of wounds and helped them all get shelter and food it was this day where sergeant Charlie Brown had met the small eight year old girl Amelia sands she had bruises and cuts along her arms and legs from the beating that came from the foreign soliders Charlie had carefully cleaned and bandaged the small girls cuts while starting a conversation with the young girl he had asked if she knew where her parents where or where she had last seen them. Amelia told the sergeant that she hadn't seen her mother and father since the day that she got taken away by the German soliders which had been months ago by now Charlie Comforted the girl telling her his name and promising that from that day on she would be safe with him other the next couple of weeks Charlie and Amelia had gotten closer and closer sharing stories and memories of their childhoods and playing games all was doing well until the sergeant major of the British Army had been told to send his men to the front line and prepare for a long hard war during the winter months. Hearing this news sergeant Charlie was soon sent off to war but before he left he said goodbye to the young girl who he had grown a connection with leaving her with a picture of him and a his good luck charm just in case. Amelia was devastated by sight of having to say goodbye the man who had saved her as she waved goodbye to him from the moving truck taking the soliders to war she started to cry wondering if she'd ever she him again.
