Chapter 21: Ashter gets a day off?

It's a beautiful day outside, birds are singing, flowers are blooming. On days like these, comes a tired out Ashter as he and Lucinda walk throughout the neighborhood and to their house,

"Oh, my Irene did tonight left me DRAINED... Even my Energy Potions won't work..." Ashter complains as he yawns while he drinks a cup of water as Lucinda chuckles lightly, having been up to help his friend as Aphmau gave the Werewolf the day off. (Ashter agreed to help at Lucinda's Potion Shop) Soon Ashter opens the door, talking to Lucinda about things such as life as this was the first time in forever that the Witch woke up.

"Really now...?" Lucinda asks in surprise as Ashter talks about the other things that happened in-between the major events of his life,

"Yeah. It's weird though... I didn't expect the effects to run out this... Fast." Ashter says as Lucinda looks at the silver eye... As a tint of agony hints, it's cold color as Lucinda looks at his left eye, as it's hinted with a corrupted power... But it benefits Ashter more than Lucinda thinks it being corrupted.

"Hey, Ashter?" Lucinda asks as the Werewolf turns to his friend,

"Yeah?" Ashter asks as Lucinda then asks,

"Are you sure something doesn't feel wrong with you? I mean... The whole Magical problem you've been having. This whole Potion thing must've messed you up somehow... And I want to know it, now." Lucinda says as Ashter realizes that Lucinda is serious from her voice, facial expression, and... Naming him by his full name...

"Uhm..." Ashter says as he looks around, only able to look back at Lucinda as the Werewolf groans, before sighing,

"OKAY. Yeah, something is going on..." Ashter says as Lucinda sighs, stepping forward as Ashter grows confused and nervous as Lucinda then says,

"I want the truth, Ashter. What EXACTLY is going on with you." Lucinda says as Lucinda stops as Ashter's back hits the wall as the Werewolf looks down as his eye glows green from the shadow that's cast down.

"I... I don't want to talk about it... I'm serious..." Ashter says as Lucinda insists,

"No. I want to know what's happening with you. Ever since you said your Magic was slowly coming back you still have that weird eye. Tell me what's going on-"

"I DON'T EVEN KNOW MYSELF." Ashter madly grows with frustration and confusion in his eyes as Lucinda steps back in confusion and fear as the markings appear once again as Ashter's right eye glows with a red blaze of furry.

"I said... That I don't know... What's going on with me!" Ashter growls the words as Lucinda sees the markings spread across the left side of his body... But...

"Ashter..." Lucinda says as she looks at Ashter's red eye. There's... Also a marking. But it doesn't spread but... It's around his eye as it goes out to the side in a sharp fashion as it glows a red and violet color. It was like a gemstone as Lucinda realizes,

"Something must've changed its effects..." Lucinda says as Ashter starts to grow confused,

"What...?" Ashter says as the scene turns to Ashter looking at his right eye in the mirror as... Lucinda was right... It was like his Magic completely took over the Forever Potion... It even looks different...

"Do you know what this means, Ash!?!" Lucinda bursts out loud as Ashter was a bit... Conflicted. Remembering how Athena said that this Potion... Is corrupted and would soon take over his body... But Ashter was spacing out as Lucinda celebrates with her friend as he looks at his left arm, seeing the markings glow a green color as Ashter clutches his hand,

"I think I know what you mean, Lucinda," Ashter says with sheer determination.

It was time for Ashter to make up for his mistakes.
