Chapter 26: Over half a week...

The three stand there in utter shock and confusion as Ashter was... Mixed with emotions. Aaron and Melissa... Are Ashter's half-siblings...

He couldn't believe what was going on... He was confused. Conflicted. And astonished.

"Mom. May I speak to you? In... PRIVATE." Aaron growls as his mother complied, leaving Melissa as Ashter as she awkwardly chuckles, before saying,

"H-Hehe... I... Didn't expect a former acquaintance to be... My brother..." Melissa says in a sort of... Amazed tone as Ashter looks down. Conflicted.

"I... I... I'm sorry... I didn't realize that-" Ashter says as Melissa sighs, saying.

"Come. Our father will be here. Let me get you caught up to date with... Everything." Melissa tells Ashter as the scene goes to Aaron as he talks to his mom, alone.

"Mom... You're telling me you asked ASHTER to inherit the company!?!" Aaron yells as Rachel sighs, saying,

"Don't worry Aaron... I already told him he'd be working with us. Nothing else nothing more." Rachel says as Aaron grew... Angry.

"Mom! You're telling me... You and dad kept this a secret to all of us!?! That my friend since HIGH SCHOOL is my brother!?!" Aaron yells as Rachel, calm and collected, says,

"Why, I didn't even know of this boy... Your father just never knew about Ashter until... We checked some records..." Rachel says as Aaron then goes to the topic at hand,

"And... His name is NOT Lycan. It's Lake. Don't go thinking because he'll be part of this horrible excuse of a family that you can-" Aaron says as Rachel, with a very cocky tone, says,

"What? But it was Ashter who agreed to change his name!" Rachel answers Aaron's question as he grew shocked and had a wave of emotion flood him.

"W-What...? He..." Aaron sheepishly says as Rachel then shots back with,

"Oh... C'mon, Aaron... We're only trying to get our family together... The choices he made are his, son. Don't go thinking me or Melissa had a say in this..." Rachel says as Aaron sighs. Saying,

"Fine. Fine." Aaron growls with frustration as the scene turns to the four as they're at the table as Ashter is seen trying to use the silverware he has acquired as this... Was a different way of eating.

And as hours passed...

No father insight.

Over half a week goes by... And... Lucinda is still frantically trying to call Ashter.

"C'mon Ash... Pick up!" Lucinda begs but... She couldn't. The phone keeps trying to call his number, but it just... Won't. It's like Ashter was wiped off the face of the planet.

And there is Ashter and Aaron, talking to one another as Ashter says,

"Are you sure? You told me your father... Well... Was an absolute jerk to you! And you expect me to believe this... Family bonding time!?! I'm the son of HIM for crying out loud!" Ashter bursts as Aaron was very much conflicted.

"And... A Werewolf as well... Does that mean you're a Werewolf too!?! What else am I not picking up here!?!" Ashter argues as a lot of secrets and drama is being unpacked.

"Ashter..." Aaron calls to his friend as Ashter can only sit on the bed as he buries his face into his hands.

"I don't have a ride home, you lost your phone, I'VE lost my phone... And I'm the son of a... Of a corrupted and overprotective parent! Parents if you add HER!" Ashter cries out loud as Aaron can only sit down beside Ashter as he puts his hand on his friend's shoulder.
