He walked forward to the podium as he did each year.

"So! Now that we are all fed and watered, I must once more ask for your attention while I give out a few notices." His voiced filled the entire hall and every students eyes were trained onto the wizard. I could see every table listening attentively to what the headmaster had to say

"Mr Filch, the caretaker, has asked me to tell you that the list of objects forbidden inside the castle has this year been extended to include Screaming yo-yo's, Fanged Frisbees and Ever Bashing Boomerangs. The full list comprises of some four hundred and thirty-seven items, I believe, and can be viewed in Mr Filch's office, if anybody would like to check it." He said as he turned his head to the twin gingers sitting at the Gryffindor table with a slight smirk on his face.

"As ever, I would like to remind you all that the Forest in the grounds is out of bounds to students, as is the village of Hogsmeade to all those below third year."

"It is also my painful duty to inform you that the Inter House Quidditch Cup will not take place this year." as he said this you could hear groaning and complaints from all four tables across the Great Hall, especially coming from Gryffindor

"This is due to an event that will be starting in October, and continuing throughout the school year, taking up much of the teachers' time and energy — but I am sure you will all enjoy it immensely. I have great pleasure in announcing that this year at Hogwarts...." He spoke as the doors of the Great Hall busted open and Alastair Moody barreled through the door, with a clank of his leg with every other step.

He stopped in front of Dumbledore, shook his hand, before taking a seat at the teacher table next to Dumbledores empty spot and began eating.

"May I introduce our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher?" said Dumbledore "Professor Alastair Moody."

Dumbledore and Hagrid both clapped for the man but the rest of the Hall was in silence

"It seems I have another new teacher to welcome this year, may I introduce our assistant History of Magic teacher, Professor Nova Black" He said turning to point in my direction.

I stood up and waved at all the students sitting at the tables in front of me. I could see a lot of Slytherins looking disgusted and some other students looking slightly frightened, probably because of my father. I could see Ginny waving at me while the rest of the Weasleys were smiling at me, I noticed something curious from the Gryffindor table, I almost missed it, George Weasley winked at me.

"As I was saying, we are to have the honor of hosting a very exciting event over the coming months, an event that has not been held for over a century. It is my very great pleasure to inform you that the Triwizard Tournament will be taking place at Hogwarts this year." He said
