Stopping inside my chamber, I closed the door behind me.
Sliding down against it, I let out painful sobs.
Hoping that the cries could take away the pain of my heart...but it was only increasing.
It hurts...it really hurts...When you love someone more than your own existence, and get betrayed.
No matter how much I tried to get it out of my head, the painful picture of them kissing couldn't go away from my eyes, even if I cIosed them.

No matter how strong and authoritative everyone saw me as...I was still woman chained to her heart. I could never be strong enough to see the sight of them...oh how will I get the strength to see them together everyday like that...him spending his nights in her chamber...him caring for her when she will have his heir.
Even if I stay the Queen of the kingdom...will I remain the Queen of his heart...? Or would I want to stay? Will my self respect force me to leave the person I can't breathe without?
I know I would have to choose between duty and self-respect very soon.

I looked at the clock, it was 7 pm. I had been crying for 6 hours now.
I had no energy to go and eat, let alone see my commitments...so I asked my right hand Miss Moon-ho to inspect all the work on my behalf for today.
I was busy staring at the ceiling, feeling all numb when I heard the door knob twist.
Just by the sound of footsteps, I knew who it was. That's how much I knew him.
Without looking in his direction, I asked him to give me privacy.
"But my Queen, you haven't eaten all day!"
Scoffing at him showing concern after days, I closed my eyes...not wanting to answer him tho even a Queen was not allowed to disrespect the King.
He could see how broke I was by looking at my pale face, i heard footsteps approaching near and the bed sinking in. I then felt a pair of hands forcing me to sit up. Holding me close to him, he started making small bites of the food he brought with himself and feed me.
"What you saw was wrong...You know I would never!"

*Taehyung's POV*
I was yet again in a meeting with Yeji, regarding both our kingdom's and the marriage deal.
The deal was that she marries me and gives me child without having any other authority in the kingdom ruling or any say in the family, and in return I save her kingdom from the ongoing famine.
Her kingdom was on the verge of collapsing as the people were starving and the lands had all gotten barren and it wasn't a financially strong country to support itself through imports.
For these purposes, we had several documents to sign. It was my upmoat priority to make all the rules as much convenient for Y/N as I could. Yet, Princess Yeji would keep delaying and point out stupid objections, only to delay the signings to the next day and have stupid discussions about useless points on the paper for hours.
Even today, she kept blabbering about about one of the conditions while I was standing here all frustrated. I had things to do...
She was speaking yet my mind kept drifting to all the affairs I had to take care of. The more this woman wastes my time, the more late I would have to return to y/n.
I was in my own world, staring into a distance when I felt a pair of lips moving against mine. Shocked yet aware of what's happening, I harshly pushed her away.
"WHAT THE HELL!"
"What? We're gonna get married anyways- "
She was cut off when we heard a loud sound from a distance...like something fell.
Looking back at Yeji, I saw her smirking.
Understanding the whole situation, my knees trembled. It's not what it looks like...
I was ready to chase for y/n, knowing very well she came at the wrong time and misunderstood, but Yeji held my arms, stopping me from going after her.
"Don't! Let her be prepared. She would have to see much more once we marry." "It's for her own good." She whispered. She was right.
I shrugged her hands off of me and headed outside the castle, not forgetting to order the guards to respectfully escort the Princess out.

"I tried to not come but I couldn't help myself, knowing that your precious tears would be flowing because of me."
"She was right. Don't come after me from now on. The kingdom is on the verge of war and you're here wiping my tears."
"It's your kingdom too."
"I didn't abandon my work. I just delayed it. I'll be continuing it now, get off!"
"Let me accompany you!"
"No need."
