The water drops down the hood of my rain coat while I'm waiting for the traffic lights to change to green. Early in the morning I was woken by a huge thunderstorm and couldn't fall asleep again, so I decided to use these extra hours to study some more.
In a few weeks the midterm exams take place and I feel overwhelmed by the amount of things I have to get inside my brain until then.
Unfortunately it didn't stop raining after the storm, so I had to take the bus to our universities library. After sitting 20 minutes next to a woman with a wet dog on her lap, the clear, cold and humid October air feels amazing.

But.

Everything is wet now, from my long hair that found his way out of the hood, to my socks and shoes. I really don't like the feeling of my sweatpants sticking onto my legs. The cold wind does the rest and I can't wait to enter the library.

The traffic lights turn green and I make my way to the big, old building. In front of it some students with umbrellas smoke and talk to each other.
Inside I put my coat and backpack in a locker and take one of the transparent bags we have to use in here to carry our stuff around. After trying to force my wet hair into a ponytail (and failing miserably) I register. The young man on the other side of the desk admonishes me to desinfect my hands before entering the library hall to prevent spreading viruses. I do what he demands. This year the flu spreaded like crazy and our government invented tests to find out if we're infected or not. Even if the second wave already passed by we still have to test ourselves before going to public places. I did that in the morning and the test was negative, as always. I love my immune system for being that strong.

Even it was quite early many students already found their way into the library on this rainy day. Wet footsteps decorate the marble floor and I can smell fresh coffee and the smell of wet books and paper. The dark clouds outside the big windows don't look like they want stop raining the next few hours and I decide to stay here until they'll change their mind.

Our library once was a church, that's why the seilings are very high. Some of the windows are still out of the old stained glass. In the front of the big open room many desks and chairs are placed. Half of them are already taken  by hard-working students. In the back half long rows of  wooden shelves keep all the knowledge.

While making my way through the studying area a girl on the left starts waving. I head for her and the other girls at the table.
"Why are you here that early?", one of them asks.
"The thunderstorm woke me up."
"Aaah same here." Ayla, the girl who waved, gives me a cup of hot coffee. "Here. You look like you need that much more than I do."
Thankful I smile at her and take a sip. Yes, this is exactly what I needed.
"Can I sit with you guys?"
"Sure!"
I sit down and start to unpack my bag.
The others talk about a party that's planned for this Friday when I realize something.
"Shit! I forgot my notebook!"
"Don't worry. Today they got delivered freebies for our university. They also have notebooks."
Oof Ayla really saves my life today. She describes me where to find the freebies and I stand up to get them.

Somewhere between the shelves I forget the rest of Aylas way description. Well, this brain is not working properly today. I sight, turn around to find the freebies by myself and nearly bump into two guys.
"Y/n! Watch where you're going!"
"Chris! I'm so sorry, I woke up way too early today, my brain is still asleep." The blonde, tall boy studies the same major as me. I like him, he always finds a way to make others feel comftable with his words. His friend, Han, has another major, but I've seen him at a few parties. It always seems like he has something mysterious and I know, that's the type of man I should stay away from. But somehow he fascinates me.
They both start laughing (quiet ofc).
"Oh I feel you." Chris leans against the shelf next to him.
"You look like you swum here."
Yeah, my hair and clothes are still wet.
"So do you!" I look over them both. Chris' hair already started to dry, God damn short hair. But Han's dark hair still looks like he took a shower some minutes ago. Some black strands fall into his face, they nearly reach the tip of his nose and hide his dark eyes. I have to swallow. This guy looks stunning.
"Damn, Chris! You have to take better care of Han. Don't let him come in contact with water ever again! That's hella dangerous. " I don't even try to hide my impressed look.
Huh? What's that? Does the boy blush? Chris hits his friends arm. "Don't be shy Hannie, she's right!"

Yeaaah I know it's not that interesting yes buuut it's important for the vibes, you know?
