It was around 6 am when you heard someone knock on your door. It was too early, who could be there? You yawned and got up from bed. You opened the door to reveal Jean. "Jean? Why are you here?"

"Sorry, I probably woke you up. But I have a really big favor to ask of you. Could you do the duties as Acting Grandmaster for a fay or two?" "Uh.. This is all so sudden, I don't know how to feel," you scratched the back of your neck.

"I should enlighten you about the situation first. There have been several hilichurl camps spotted the past few days. Many knights came back with broken body parts. From what they said, among the hilichurls and mitachurls, there were also a lot of abyss mages," she said in a serious tone.

She then exhaled and inhaled, preparing to speak more. "Those were our strongest knights, even Amber and Kaeya came back injured, thankfully without breaking anything. They lost a lot of blood, some of our knights are in a coma due to this. And I do not want Mondstadt to be left unattended. I trust you, please accept this. For Mondstadt," Jean looked at you with worry-filled eyes.

This was a tough decision to make. "I shall do that. Good luck on clearing those camps, and don't get too injured," "Yes, thank you," and with those words, Jean sprinted out, informing some knights around about the situation.

"This is gonna be a hard day..." You mumbled to yourself and went to dress up before leaving your house. After that, you walked to the headquarters. They seemed really empty, so you didn't really know what to do there.

But after taking a step into Jean's office... Oh dear, that's a lot of paperwork that needs to be done. There were 3 piles. You decided to start from the tax counting.  Since there weren't really a lot of shops in the city, it wasn't that hard.

The first one you saw was from Charles. Apparently, a pretty big sum of people didn't pay for their wine. And you needed to take the payment from them. But first, you needed to sign it.. How does Jean sign papers again?

You looked through another pile of papers and took the one that was signed. Great, now you just needed to copy it. It had some squiggly lines, but it wasn't much trouble. There were 3 people listed on the paper.

Each of their names was accompanied by a small description of how they look and where you can find them most of the time. They were numbered from the smallest sum to the biggest sum. Also, at the bottom of the paper was a small note.

Bring the paper to Charles, and bring the Mora to Master Diluc at Dawn winey.

Seemed easy enough. You had a vision, so you could just teleport. Unlike people without them... Poor non-vision wielders. Whatever, you had to get to work and finish at least a little bit before Jean comes back.

The first person was Stanley: Adventurer. He drank 2 bottles of normal wine and 1 bottle of Dandelion wine. Doesn't really seem like a big drunkard. The second one was Payne: a regular Mondstadt citizen. Drank 5 bottles of Dandelion wine and 2 bottles of regular wine.

The third one was Venti: bard. 23 bottles of Dandelion wine... Oh, dear Lord Barbatos, who let Venti drink that much, it's gonna be a lot to pay. Let's see if he can pay it by himself. And if they can't pay, well...

There is no other choice than to have a meeting with Master Diluc for them... And it will include you too... As the temporary Acting Grandmaster. Okay, second shop was the one Sara owns. Good Hunter.

It was just to count how much she earned from all the orders... She could count it herself. This is basic math. Whatever, work is work. Then Blanche, the owner of Mondstadt General Goods. It wasn't really a tax problem, more of a stock problem.

She's running low on wheat. There's nothing much you could do about that, except for writing a poster and sticking it on the billboard. Marjorie's and Margaret's were already done, you just needed to give them the papers.

You walked out of the Favonius HQ and gave the papers to them. It was the easiest part, so why not? Now time to contact Blanche and tell her that you can't do anything about the wheat problem.

"Hello Blanche, I'm here to talk about the stock problem. There's not much I can do, but I did contact the stockers. They were stuck with several hilichurl attacks, and couldn't reach out to you. You'll just have to wait a little longer," "How long?"

"Without any more hilichurl attacks, they should take another day or two. But that is a small chance. Don't be surprised if it takes about a week, okay? And I recommend putting a poster on the billboard about wheat," "Wait, aren't you Y/n Lawrence?"

"Yes, is there a problem?" "Shouldn't Master Jean be here instead of you?" "She went out with the other knights due to powerful hilichurl camps forming around, and left me in charge of Mondstadt," "Weird, you are from the Lawrence clan, right?"

"What's wrong with the Lawrence clan? Not everyone from it is the same, so please do not judge people by their last names," then you left. Sara. "Good afternoon, Sara. Your whole salary is 236.57 Mora," "Thank you for counting my salary, I just had so many orders!"

"I understand, here are your papers," you looked up as she took the papers from your hand. She looked like she was about to speak, but hesitated and you walked away. The last topic of taxes was Angle's share.

Now just to find the people. The first place you thought of was the tavern. And 2 of the people you looked for were there. Stanley was outside and didn't struggle with giving you the Mora. Payne was inside and asked a few questions before trying to find the Mora. But he gave it to you soon enough. Now just to find Venti...
